Hi Jenny!

Sorry if I leave suddenly. We went out for an early birthday dinner tonight, and Mia fell asleep on the way home. I'm letting her sleep in her car seat for now. I'll have to run if she wakes up so I can get her PJs on and get her in bed.

No problem...is she sleeping through the night for you yet?

Oh dear....well, I was hoping.

So Chrissy.....New Moon on Friday....are we excited? :D

Yes I am!! My in-laws will be here that weekend, but I'm not sure if we'll get a chance to go. If not, I'm debating about going sometime on a weekday afternoon and just taking Mia with me.

Will you and Abby be going?

Yes!! And if we can get a sitter for Joel, Mike will be joining us. He's read the series too. :) I seriously think Chris Weitz has done it right - I'm looking forward to seeing it.

All the previews that I've seen have looked great! I read something recently that one of stars (don't remember which one) thinks that Chris Weitz should direct Breaking Dawn too. Hopefully that is a good sign that it will be really good.

I seriously don't know how they're going to do Renesme though.... but I've been impressed with the CGI of the werewolves...have you seen the clips with the Volturi and the fight scene they added for the film? Looks great!

I've seen so many clips that I've actually stopped watching them...I don't want to see the whole movie ahead of time

How many times is she getting up, Chris?

Hi Steph! Too many! She was getting better and only getting up 2-3 times over about 12-13 hours, but the past couple of nights it's been about every 2 hours that she is up. I don't know what is waking her up, but she wakes up screaming. It's not that whiny, little cry that she might fall back asleep....it is loud, come get me now screaming.

Hmmm. I've heard that when they get to a certain age they have something called a "wakeful". Something about a developmental spurt and them realizing they have so much fun w/ you they don't want to be away from you even to sleep.:rolleyes: I'm hoping we don't go through a phase like that. The sleep training was hard enough the 1st time I don't want to have to do it all over again. :dazzle:
Well, it's past Joel's bedtime, so I need to get going. Good night loves!:kiss:
Night Jenny

Yep..that's what happend. It got worse around 4 months and the only info I could find was a "wakeful" period. She started to get better. Now she seems to be working on crawling, so it got worse again. What kind of sleep training did you do? I don't want to start anything until after Christmas because almost every weekend we either have someone coming to visit or we will be traveling. I figured that will all throw off any time of routine or training that we do.

We just started a basic routine. Bath, pj's, book, bottle, bed. Roughly same time every night. The pediatrician said the key was putting him to bed awake (we were letting him fall asleep out in the living room w/ us and then moving him). That way when he wakes up in the night, he knows where he is and can fall back to sleep. He also said to put him in bed and then leave right away, but we don't do that. We put him in bed, he usually cries for a couple minutes and we just rub his head or belly while holding the binky for him (he can't really keep it in his mouth, it always pops out ) until he calms down. Once he calms down then we leave while he's still awake and he usually falls asleep no problem. There've been a couple nights where we've stayed in until he's asleep and it doesn't seem to make a difference. But he's sleeping anywhere from 8-11 hours w/out getting up. He'll usually wake up once during the night and we'll hear him gabbering or whining and we just let him work it out...usually falls back to sleep in about 15 minutes max.
The funny thing is, you'd think he'd be starving when he wakes up after not eating all night, but I'm lucky some mornings to even get 2 ounces in him.

Edit: DH thinks I'm crazy, but I'm convinced of 2 things that make this STTN thing work: 1) A little of that Johnson's Bedtime Lotion on his shoulders under pjs, and 2) socks under pj's. Seems like every night where we've had problems w/ him waking up and needing us are the nights DH puts pj's on him and forgets the socks
