Good afternoon everyone, since my engagement in September I have set a goal to loose some weight by my upcoming honeymoon in November 2013. I am 24 years old and at the time of my engagment i was 146lbs. I am down 9 pounds since then, and just been walking and using "my fitness pal" app to count calories. Does anyone else have any goals they are trying to achieve by their upcoming trip? Tips they want to share? Support they want to give?

Hi Kasey, Good for you!!! Keep up the great work. I had to change some of the foods I was eating to reduce fats in my diet and it made a pretty remarkable difference. Just keep doing whatever it is you are doing, it seems to be working and dont get discouraged if it seems like it isnt happening fast enough. Slow and steady is the way to go with this stuff as that is how it will stay off for sure!!!! Marie

I want to firm up a little more before my trip! You are in luck down in chit chat there's a thread working out for Disney we share workout and diet tips and keep each other accountable! Hope that helps! We are also each other's biggest cheerleaders!:) Congrats!

WOW! I'm heading over to the work out thread right now! This was a great thread by the OP. I am 18 days away from my trip and down 28lbs. in a little under 3 months. I have been watching my calorie intake, which is much easier than I thought it would be. I am also working out 4-5 times a week for 20 minutes at a time on my elliptical. My main concern is continuing the workout and life style change after I get back from Disney.

I am hoping to be down another 7 lbs before our Disney trip in 20 days. I was only 4 lbs away but then came Easter. Ugh!! If I can hit my goal I will be down a total of 50 lbs. I hope I can.

I am also on MFP. My user name is _lucyred_ if you or anyone else wants to be friends.
Hey! I have a idea for us. We are basically leaving right around the same time. I am looking to lose right around that same amount, let keep each other updated on how we do until our trips arrive. I am 18 days away.

I never get on the scale...I monitor my weight by how my clothes fit. If they are baggy, I am doing something good. If I need to break out my fat pants, time to cut back.

Lately I have been closer to the baggy side, which is good since summer is coming.

Ideally, I would like to lose about 10 lbs, which should translate to a waist size, but I think time has taken its toll and my body will not give up the fat.

I try to take stairs at work instead of elevators. I walk the dog, aquafit and eat less - I too like my fitness pal. I would like to loose about 10 pounds before I go to in November. I have a good friend how is a dietician and she says eat what you want in moderation but increase activity level (this girl lovescake and is tiny, tiny.). Wish I could say the same. Keep working Kasey, good for you, enjoy "your day."

I really start walking as much as I can, both for the exercise and to lose some of the winter weight....and golly this was a miserable winter. I also think twice before eating anything that I shouldn't and can usually talk myself out of it, especially as I get closer to my trip (where the train completely derails...LOL.)

Hey Pooh...it's okay...all bets are off in Disney...besides...you walk all those extra calories off
