Good afternoon everyone, since my engagement in September I have set a goal to loose some weight by my upcoming honeymoon in November 2013. I am 24 years old and at the time of my engagment i was 146lbs. I am down 9 pounds since then, and just been walking and using "my fitness pal" app to count calories. Does anyone else have any goals they are trying to achieve by their upcoming trip? Tips they want to share? Support they want to give?

Congrats on the 23 lbs!!! We basically did the same thing last year, I'm sure I walked around that and I didn't eat all that bad, or so I though. I gained 7lbs. Made no sense to me, I ate yogurt parfaits and Eddy's Strawberry bars (instead of mickey ice creams). Came back from Disney and packed on another 10ish lol. I've gotten back on track after that and now I am actually close to the lightest I have ever been as an adult.

Thanks!

Well I am happy to report that I am finally down the 4 lbs that I gained from Easter, YAY!! So I have 4 more to go to get to my 50 lbs goal before our vacation in 11 days. Plus last night I ran/walked 3.2 miles (a 5k) in less then 44 minutes. I will be my first 5k in the summer and my goal was to finish it with a time less then 45 minutes so I know I can do that.

How is everyone else doing? @DaddyDisneyMan how are you doing??

Thanks for thinking of me! :) things are going VERY well. I'm working out 5 days a week and eating VERY well. I'm getting to the point to where when I don't work out I feel like I'm missing something. I never thought I would get to that point in my life where I actually WANT to work out. I too have 11 days until our trip and I would LOVE to lose another 4 lbs. which would put me at 30lbs weight lose in a 3 month period.

I'm so happy to hear that you are doing well. Keep up the AWESOME work!!!!!

Great thread! I'm going on a trip to WDW May 31-June 1 for my 1-year anniversary, and while that isn't why I'm working on losing weight, I would like to lose another 12 or so pounds before then.

I did MyFitnessPal last year and lost about 25lbs, but after my sister's wedding in May (where I met my boyfriend, the best man...yes, I was the maid of honor, lol - like a Lifetime movie, I know :)), falling in love meant gaining the weight back. Frustrated and annoyed with myself, I joined Weight Watchers on Valentine's Day. My bf is super supportive (although he says I'm perfect how I am...I am a lucky gal!), and I've lost 21lbs so far. Plus, I'm working with a trainer at the gym, so I actually look at feel fitter than I did at the same weight last year, since I have way more muscle mass. I do at least 30 minutes of cardio 5 days a week, and do 4 30-minute sessions with a trainer each week too.

I have another 44lbs to go before I hit my goal weight, but I am attacking it as mini goals of 10lbs at a time. I feel more of a sense of accomplishment this way. I started out 62lbs higher than I am right now, but lost a little bit of it before getting serious last year. When I hit my final goal, I'll have lost more than 100lbs total. A long battle, but one worth fighting :).

First time I went to Disney I lost 4 pounds... I had been working out every day and dieting for about 2 months before and had lost 15 pounds. Then I went to disney and ate what ever I wanted and all that walking still led to 4 pounds lost. I was thrilled. I don't know If ill be that lucky for our next trip because we are doing the dining plan this time and will be eating 2 times as much as last time and this trip I can drink so that'll also add some calories! My opinion is that going to Disney for me is something that only happens every 2 years or even longer, so of course I'm going to go all out and eat those mickey waffles, the mickey pretzel and drink all the margaritas. I run 3-4 times a week every week of my regular life so I'm going to let an expensive vacation be a vacation!

Way to Go!! We are 10 days away too! I as well am down to my lightest ever. I set a goal for myself and have exceeded it by 10 lbs before our trip to the world. With 10 days to go I'm thinking I will lose another 2-3lbs. That means more Mickey Bars and my very first DOLE WHIP or 2 or 3 or 4!

I really want to loose 25 pounds before my trip in August. So far I am only down 9. I will keep going though. It would be so much easier if the temperature outside would get above 45 and stop raining so I can go for my walks again. Congrats to all of you other "losers" out there. :D
That's the spirit!
