Good afternoon everyone, since my engagement in September I have set a goal to loose some weight by my upcoming honeymoon in November 2013. I am 24 years old and at the time of my engagment i was 146lbs. I am down 9 pounds since then, and just been walking and using "my fitness pal" app to count calories. Does anyone else have any goals they are trying to achieve by their upcoming trip? Tips they want to share? Support they want to give?

Wow, like hitting the WDW lottery. You have a way with the ladies....ha ha ha.

it's funny..I was just making my way around the Showcase and I looked their way...and one of them said..."Hey, want to come with us?" I was drunk by that time and said..hell yes" Then they started to tell me that they worked the Festival and had just got off duty... so when we'd walk up to a kios...one of them walked around to the side of the kios and asked for a favor...they all knew each other...so I could have what I wanted...

I have lost 27 pounds since December- started at 190 down to 163 (male, 5 9" 27 years old).I used the calorie counting app and did not cheat one single day except Christmas Day on my calories. Just had to buy all new warm weather clothes to go down to WDW. I feel great and if was so worth cutting out the calories.

I don't really have a weight loss goal, but I do have a "health" goal for myself because I've just be diagnosed with MS and I need certain vitamins and nutrients so recently I have purchased a lot of greens and have made myself green juices. It sounds disgusting but if you mix some fruits in there and a little bit of honey it's actually not half bad. It's also a great way to get some energy throughout the day so I suggest trying these fresh green juices in the morning, or even before a workout. You can find a bunch recipes on google to get a feel for it but just experimenting with fruits/vegetables that you know you like is perfect. Good luck!

If you switch to a diet with NO sat or trans fat and precious little of the other ones AND you cut out almost all salt AND you stay with low sugar...

I guarantee you that you will never over-eat. Because you won't want to eat what your left with with, which is fruits, veggies, a smidge of white meat, dust bunnies and little bits of Kleenex.

It sucks (a lot), but it isn't hard.

It's all about committing to it. It's much easier to commit when you feel like you're giving yourself something, rather than focusing on depriving yourself in order to achieve a goal. When you WANT to do it, you will!! And it won't be that hard! I swear. :D

Congratulations1 Keep up the good work! ;) My friend swears by that app!:)
if you're like me though, you'll actually lose weight before ( conditioning yourself) and during ( walking so much) your trip!:)

I LOVE that app!! I seriously nevr realized just how many calories I was consuming before keeping track on that app. I would eat 4 pieces of pepperoni pizza twice a week and when I started keeping track we maybe have pizza once every 2 weeks now. I definitely have not cut back to just healthy, good for you foods (as I sit here and eat a Reese's Peanut Butter Easter egg haha) but I just don't intake as much. Started really keeping track in January and I was at 151. Now I am at 145.5. 5 and a half pounds might not seem like a ton, but considering I am not working out a ton or eating just good for you foods, I think that's pretty good! :)

Congrats to all on their weight loss. It is something to celebrate for sure! :)
