I cannot imagine how you deal with the crowds. I have been in MK and seen 1 hour queues for CS restaurants and have seen PoTC full queue and out into the main walkway, HM full loaded queue down to the lower dock back up and back over towards the riverboat load area, BTMRR with full queue and line back down to almost splash with all switchbacks full. Then when we went to leave it took us just under an hour to get from Liberty Square out the main gate and it wasn't even in a phase situation at that time. BTW this was on a Saturday that they were taping the Christmas parade in 06'.

I want to see a play-by-play version of someone who is in the park all day's itinerary. I wonder how many attractions you can get into the day, when all the lines (even for FOOD!) are that long

Oh My

Oh My! I hope that this is only due to spring break and Easter crowds. I hope to god early May will not be this way. Ughhhhh It was not the best place in December of 08 either, I couldn't believe how many ppl were there and I was told that it was the slowest week I went :( Tinkerchelli (maybe Tinkerbell can help out)

What's bad during times like this, is that Disney loses a lot of repeat business.

Almost everyone who I've ever talked to, who made a first trip to WDW during a peak time, was turned off and vowed never to return again.

But, those crowds will keep the stock propped up through this tough time.

That is weird. Most people I've talked to realize how much they couldn't see and vow to come back in the off season to experience all the stuff they missed. This would also explain why there is no real "off season" anymore. Repeat business.

COP, TTA walk to the back of the park to see if you can get on HM or a fatasyland ride where you find waiting times at the 2+ hour mark and now it is 1:00PM and the lines to get lunch are about 1 hour so you just leave and even that takes you another hour to just get out. Sounds like fun to me!!:brick:

I have found this to be true with every passing trip.
We go in January and it used to be a piece of cake but it seems like the Marathon draws more and more crowds and vacationing marathon runners.
It's definitely not as quiet as it used to be at that time.

I'm heading over on Monday....I'm interested to see if this continues then. While it'd be hassle to be there in the madness....its kind of exciting too

Some friends of our are heading down on Sunday (Easter). They came up with a great question that I didn't know the answer to so I thought I'd post it and see if the "experts" knew:

This is purely hypothetical. Say you have an ADR for CRT. That's a prepaid meal. If the gates are at Phase 4 and you are trying to get to your CRT meal that you've already prepaid, what's going to happen? Will they let you in? Will they refund your money? Will they reschedule you?

I don't think this will be a problem for our friends next week. I don't think they even have CRT reserved. Plus, next week is a black-out week on the 4/3 deal so maybe the crowds won't be as horrendous.

Thanks, y'all!

I've been in the MK on Thanksgiving and worked there on New Years Eve. DO. NOT. WANT.

I am not getting close to MK on Thanksgiving day - if we go anywhere it will be World Showcase at Epcot.

The threads this week have me convinced our family will never go near WDW during spring break....the only exception we're thinking about is a Disney cruise for our spring break in 2011. But not the parks. :dazzle:
