I'm not getting into a public __________________ contest with you because I know I can't win since it's your site, but if you put me in the room with five Disney Legends, five Disney Imagineers and five Disney P&R execs of your choice (not mine) i'll bet you that three would know me (and respect me and my views).
Yeah you say that, but you are getting into that contest, and you are losing. Steve has been here alot longer than you, given that he owns the site. He has also provided information that is almost always accurate. We don't hear from him much because, as far as I know, he confirms his information before posting it.

So when he says there are records being broken and then you say, "No way, because I'm uber-guest and I'm there all the time" a choice of who to believe has to be made. For most people on this site, that choice is pretty easy.

So FIGHT that stigma of a boring park! Bring us new, original attractions! Refurb SSE so people WON'T fall asleep! Sheesh. The people creating the park dont even believe in it...:dazzle::(

See, now THAT, bothers me.:lol::eek:
Putting people in a dark building with a lulling voice and flowing music tends to induce sleepiness. It seems like with SSE94 they were trying their darndest to put people to sleep. Heck, I'll stick my SSE94 score on when I can't get to sleep, and I'll be out like a baby in no time.

It's by no means a boring attraction, it just induces sleepiness.

C'mon Steve. Don't you feel that maybe the above is a bit over the line ... for both me and SirGoofy?

You're telling me why I respect another poster and then you compare him to a puppy. If I wanted some little warm and cuddly furball I'd get a real puppy ... besides, I don't want Goofy licking my face.

Awww...but I was enjoying the new collar I bought for myself!

I don't believe it's cool at all to put Goofy down because he is a lowly seasonal CM. He comes off as articulate, intelligent and passionate about doing things the right way ... the Disney Way. I don't get why you'd think those are bad character traits.

Glad someone doesn't think they are bad traits. Seems like they are diseases around here.

And yes I am a seasonal CM. I'm also a seasonal CM that has a lot more sources than people would expect.

Funny. If you put me in a room with five Disney Legends, five Disney Imagineers, five Disney P&R execs and five of my cousins, only two would recognize me :(

Yeah you say that, but you are getting into that contest, and you are losing.

I don't see myself as losing as anything ... except for lifetime I won't be getting back at the end.

Steve has been here alot longer than you, given that he owns the site.

OK. That's sure true. ... But I know nothing of his background, experience, perspective etc ... beyond what he posts here.

I treat all info on the web with skepticism unless I know the people posting it personally, have a track record to rely on (and as someone who has been a semi-regular here for maybe eight months, I don't) or simply know the information to be factual.

I am not saying Steve is wrong because he hasn't given any specifics, instead relying on hyperbole about records being set. He may very well be right depending on what records he is speaking of.

He has also provided information that is almost always accurate. We don't hear from him much because, as far as I know, he confirms his information before posting it.

Again. See above.

But to defend myself (instead of the Man), my info is almost always accurate as well. And I don't state things as absolutes unless they are.
Opinions are another matter, but I also try and use reason, perspective and just plain common sense when stating those as well.

So when he says there are records being broken and then you say, "No way, because I'm uber-guest and I'm there all the time" a choice of who to believe has to be made. For most people on this site, that choice is pretty easy.

I'm not any uber-guest, Jake. I'm not even there all the time (although some friends think so!)

Steve has made it sound like he is saying Disney is breaking all-time records ... meaning to me that it's never been as busy at WDW as it has this week. No, I don't believe it. If he wants to put out numbers and state what records are being set, then I'll have a rational basis to formulate an opinion as to what's reality.

hey, what you do by yourself or with your friends is none of anyone's business:ROFLOL:

They aren't. They're terrific traits. I wish more young people ... no, more people in general had them.

And I know as a seasonal CM you're able (if you are smart and savvy) to develop plenty of sources.

So you just choose to ignore facts and logic in favor of your opinions.

No. You missed the point and the sarcasm. People here tend to do that.

I like dealing in facts and logic.

They make a whole lot more sense than people jumping to ignorant conclusions that say we can't possibly be in an awful recession because WDW is busy Easter week ... or that TDO must know what it is doing because people are showing up during Spring Break when they're greatly discounting the magic.

~Why?~

Really? "Sadly, yes" was not sarcasm, it was juvenile and dismissive.

Plus, apparently you didn't read his posts, because he said nothing about the recession, Easter Week, TDO knowing what they are doing or even Spring break crowds. He posted about the investment and improvements to guest cycling on attractions and more accurate wait times. Of course, he must be wrong since you claim there's no investment in the parks. I guess all those people you know gave you bad information, huh? Facts, logic... haven't seen any from your posts.

No better question. Why do you continually bash anything and everything? Sensible concerns were left behind long ago and it's more of some agenda now. You've got the regular few that love to complain following you around. Why not take them and build your own community at WDWisHorrible.com? Oh, wait, that's been tried by previous posters around here and it failed miserably.

Thankfully, it appears the tide is turning on the forum and the trend of the vocal few getting the attention is going away. The continual complaining is only hurting any plausible concerns that come up. You've cried wolf enough...

Not that the Kingdom could ever be horrible, but those crowds! It might drive a person to turn homocidal, even if they are in the "happiest place on earth"!:hammer:

Perhaps, but they would be whistling "It's a small world after all" when they did it. See now that is more family friendly eh?

I did read his post. I read every post in a thread I am going to contribute to. But I didn't realize it was required to comment on something everyone says. Or perhaps that just goes for me since I am not an a$$-kissing lapdog to Disney management.

If you had read all of my posts you'd see that I agreed with a similar point about cycling attractions made by Steve. So, no, I wouldn't say he was wrong since I agreed with it.

As to investment in the parks, while managing wait times is a good thing it isn't something that I put on a level with say new attractions, clean park facilities, quality dining, fresh entertainment etc ...

It's something just a few steps up from flat screens in the tunnels. the only difference is it has some affect on guests.

No better question. Why do you continually bash anything and everything?

Uhm, I don't. It just may appear that way because a vast majority of the folks here act as if WDW is perfect and has never been better and enjoy defending TDO and Burbank in what I can only tell is a perverse sign of respect for people in positions of power.

Sensible concerns were left behind long ago and it's more of some agenda now.

My only agenda is to see WDW run as it was for its first quarter of a century.

You may like lower quality, I don't. That's it.

You've got the regular few that love to complain following you around. Why not take them and build your own community at WDWisHorrible.com? Oh, wait, that's been tried by previous posters around here and it failed miserably.

I guess what you're saying is that anyone critical of WDW has been shouted down and chased away so you can coat yourself in pixie dust and drink magical kool-aid.

Thankfully, it appears the tide is turning on the forum and the trend of the vocal few getting the attention is going away. The continual complaining is only hurting any plausible concerns that come up. You've cried wolf enough...

Really? Why are you responding to me? If my concerns weren't valid then I'd simply disappear because no one would discuss them.

~Thanks for the comments and have a magical day!~

Well...I just got some numbers from a friend in ops...

The profit numbers don't seem too good.

EDIT: I don't know how solid the numbers are though. But yea, if what he says is true...not good.

It seems hard to believe that thousands of people are fighting traffic and crowds to not ride rides or shop in the shops or eat in the restaurants. Some body has to be spending money there.

This always seems to be the knee-jerk response. If someone does not go looking for or report every little problem on the forum, they must be an apologist. It's tiresome. (Oh, by the way, the little snide remarks and deliberately getting around the word censor is grounds for banning.)

Those are your subjective opinions. I'd love to see a new attraction at MK, but I can also see the reasoning for waiting until it's actually needed. Adding major attractions to the #1 park does not seem as necessary as the parks lower on the list. I was there in December and the parks looked great. I saw trash on the ground being picked up all the time and workers busy painting.

It's something just a few steps up from flat screens in the tunnels. the only difference is it has some affect on guests.
Again with the flat screens...

Or, could you just plain be wrong. Maybe things are not as bad as you seem to want them to be. Maybe people actually do enjoy their trips.

If I see a quality issue, I'll tell guest services. I've done so previously and will continue to do so.

There you go again... everyone that doesn't complain all the time drinks kool-aid. The only "shouted down" around these parts over the past year has been by about 20 or so posters that constantly complain.

Your BAH avatar strikes a blow to your credibility as someone who's concerned about WDW quality. It's almost as bad as having an avatar with the Wand.

I do not want to jump in the middle of the crossfire but It would seem to me that with those types of connection and that level of respect, perhaps some of the change that you wish for would start to be seen in the world and how it is managed.
