Yay! How fun! I love hearing about dreams! Congratulations!

But...

:lookaroun uh... be careful. Having a lot of credit cards is not a good thing... You might want call and close out accounts as well as send them a written letter asking to close the accounts that you don't use.

An example of pointing something out politely, rather than rudely. Thank you.

Just let them die out...they're new (judging by their post count)...and obviously just looking to rile things up a bit. They'll go the way of the rest of them in time.

Now, back to the Dreams!

I've actually been here everyday for the past year....I just don't post often.

I am the eyes and ears of this institution.

I remember reading that is was to be once a week on a Friday. Again, I could be wrong and I did read this prior to anyone staying at the castle period.
I hope someone can tell us, now I'm really wondering...lol

I'm getting the sense that whenever going to Disney, you should just hang out at Star Tours all day.

That's how I got my dream.

...of course, it was only to get in the first row.

Well, the Mickey Monitor stated, "Most days" so I was assuming that it was even more than that.

I hope it's more than once a week... Why wouldn't they do it at least every other day (enough time to change linens, etc.)?

I've gone through and edited/deleted a bunch of rude and/or argumentative posts.

I suggest that everyone involved just calm down and play nice.
Thanks Mom!

Thank you. I apologize for lashing out at them. I've been reading this board for years (not posting very often) and it always gets to me when others are so very rude (calling names, etc.). I shouldn't have said anything, I know better.

Again, thank you!

Lets get back to the topic at hand...

I think it's great that they are still being able to surprise folks with these kinds of events. Hope you hade a great time and congrats!:sohappy:

Closing credit cards doesn't usually do anything good for your credit score.

Incorrect. Too many lines of credit decreases your credit scar - er, score. By closing some of those accounts, your scar - er, score - would increase. That is if you worship at the alter of the credit score... ;)

What a cool dream to win!! I'd love to be in on something like that. And that's the first I've heard of the "nice pin" as well. Good to know that they acknowledge things like that.

Back to the dreams - has anyone started a thread for people to post if they've won something? I'd love to see what others have been lucky enough to get.

In most cases, that's not true because the hit you take for increased debt/credit ratio and (potentially) reduced average account age is much larger than the minor ding for too many open accounts.

Take it from someone who worked for a company that gives financial (and debt-free!) advice - it's true. ;) It's better not to have many open lines of credit. :animwink: :animwink:

But... uh... I thought we already tried to get back on the "YOMD" track...
