The Dinosaur Institue and I welcome you to my trip report. There was one theme to this year's trip, and that was...

It was FREEZING this past week in Florida. They haven't experienced cold like this in years. And of course it starts when we arrive. But that's okay...we were in Disney World, nothing could ruin our trip! Luckily we checked weather reports before leaving and packed accordingly.

A little background on everyone. First there's my family- mom, dad, me (19), Shannon (15), and Zach (12). This is our fourth trip to Disney World. We began planning a year ago and have been anxiously awaiting the trip ever since. I think my parents were more excited than the kids were.

Then there's my best friend of 10 years, Jamie. She is a part of the family, so of course she had to come along! This was her first trip to the World and couldn't wait.

I think that's all. Arrival day coming up next!

We rode the Monorail to the Poly, where Luke's car was parked.

Trying to get in with shopping passes. Parking at the Poly instead of the parking lot... Good thing you didn't mention pool-hopping and reusing resort mugs.

With this thread, you have singlehandedly turned me into "That Guy" who takes advantage of Disney in all the wrong ways and everyone hates

For the record to everyone else: I owned an Annual Pass for two years and gave Disney way more money than anyone ever should. Also, I'm a local, and these are just the things we do  :lookaroun

My siblings entertained us by asking Luke a billion questions. Questions ranged from "What's your major?" to "Limited too or Victoria's Secret?" :lookaroun Poor Luke took it like a champ (on the outside, at least. I'm sure he was dying on the inside) and answered all of their obscure questions.

I think the Victoria's Secret/Limited Too one was my favorite. I was totally dying inside... from laughter because it was all so fun :p

Lukrisha aaaaand someone else. I forget his name. Long story short, they fell in love and now they live here in Disney World.

I thought about leaving it all out, buuuut...:lookaroun

I'm sorry.

 No really, it's okay. I'd rather be infamous for my unscrupulous morals than have to pay $14 to park in the MK parking lot for an hour.

We really don't like each other all that much.

All the animals left (we don't want to know where Lukrisha and her lover went :lookaroun), so we went back inside. My parents finally arrived so we made our way back to Sanaa.

Luke got to experience a typical Young family dinner, lucky him. For appetizers, we got 2 bread samplers and 2 salad trios. The bread sampler was so incredibly good. Dinner entres included chicken, vegetarian sampler, ribs, shrip, and salmon. Yummy. 3 of us got the chocolate cake for dessert, which was very blah. Luke got the Christmas in a cup (I forget the name). And dad got the dessert sampler.

After dessert Luke and I had to dash because we had planned on watching Wishes from the Poly beach. Jamie and my sister decided to join us. Grrrr. On the way there we rocked out to Party in the USA. Fun times. :D

At the Poly, Luke and I grabbed a hammock and watched Wishes.

It was perfect. Our time there got cut short thanks to my sister. So we headed back to the hotel, with a stop at the Wilderness Lodge on the way. It was my first time there and I loved it! Simply amazing.

Back at the hotel, Luke and I watched Illuminations from the beach and walked around the Boardwalk and talked. Pretty soon it was time to say good bye, which I do not want to talk about because good byes suck. :( So that was the end to our wonderful day.

I'll finish this baby up tomorrow.

I just can't help but crack up seeing all these pictures with coats and hats on! I think you may be lucky that Splash was down....wouldn't want to be walking around MK wet when it is 45 degrees or so.

Fun report, thanks for sharing!
