Trip Report We are GROOT!

Hello friends! Well it has finally arrived and the five of us are packed up and headed to Disney World for a mega trip. We are on the road now and stopping in Columbia, South Carolina for the night. (Max we also have 2 Toyotas)We left a little later than we wanted to because our 2 cats, sensing our departure, escaped outside.

The cast is the same as usual, my crazy Disney family, my husband, Den, my oldest son Hunter, 18, middle child Camden, 11, Brinley, 7 and me, Deighton! Hunter graduated from highschool on June 2 and is doing a year at community College to get his prerequisites out of the way. Our extended trip is his graduation present. (His choice! Who am I to say no.) Plenty of details to come! Happy Thursday everyone! Woohoo!!

Den and I had ice teas and chicken Caesar salads. No heavy lunch today! No way! Hunter had lasagna. Cam had pizza and Brin had chicken tenders.

Teeths!!!

At this point the kids and adults went separate ways. Den and I went on our own adventure.

We hit Test Track again and waited a whole 5 minutes in the single rider lane.

At this point we were at a loss, GOG kept getting delayed and we have rode it twice so we hopped on a bus and took pictures along the way.

We had only one mission in mind and that was to ride TOT. We have not rode it together in YEARS and it is one of our absolute favorites!

We grabbed a slushy before we left it was yummy and refreshing. It was grey goose, lemonade and grape juice.

We are on the way back to the Boardwalk now. Brin is awake!

Sorry for the delay but I was just trying to take our last day staying on Disney property all in! We had another amazing meal at Flying Fish. Austin and Bill are top notch bartenders and we really enjoyed our time here.

We had to have the NY strip again... 1 more time!

Den had the pork belly again, too.

I will dream of this view often!

Tomorrow, a whole new world!

Last time I have the strip there, it came with haricot vert. Did they change it, or did you sub? Not that asparagus doesn't look amazing also. I dream about that potato gratin also! The views from your room were stupendous any time of day!

It is actually haricot vert but it does look like asparagus in the picture. Everything about this dish is amazing!

Well it is sad morning and it shouldn't be because we still have 6 more days together. We are packed up besides one load of laundry drying and Hunter is still asleep.... today we are packing the cooler full of ice and putting our refrigerated food in and hoping for the best. Check in at the Vistana Resort Villa is not until 4pm so we are headed off to Disney Springs at 11 for our reservation at Morimoto at noon. We will be driving again.

Fyi, I can admit I am the worst back seat driver ever. I may blind fold myself until we get there!

Goodbye beautiful view and convient Boardwalk.

For some reason I love light fixtures and carpets. This carpet will forever remind me of all the kids at various ages, jumping from circle to circle!❤

Well with Boardwalk in our rear view off we drive into the unexpected. A little secret, don't tell anyone, I am not good with the unexpected! First stop, orange garage. On to Morimoto! I am a big iron chef fan so I am excited as well!

Happy kids for certain! Heads up very small lunch menu and it is not much bigger at dinner. So far everything is very good.

Spicy Sapporo miso Ramen. This was spicy and delicious. The spice kept growing.

Den's meal has 3 stages because it is served in a hot pot and mixed table side. It is called the Buri bop. So the above is stage 1.

Stage 2 is the unveiling of the vegetables.

Stage 3 the mix. Den loved this!

Finally Cam's meal, ribs and rice. He loved this which as we all know by now a minor miracle.

Great meal and William did a great job with service. Would we go back next time? I don't know. I guess you could say it is food for thought!

Next up the Vistana which ended up being a 5 minute drive with traffic. Digging the hot tub and the room sizes for sure!

Den and I came in first and lysoled and cloroxed wiped the place down. Everything appears clean and in great shape but just being safe!

Off Den, Brin and I went to tour our area. This resort is massive and it is hot (have I mentioned that). We found one of the 7 pools just a short distance away. This is one of my favorite signs ever.

Obviously the pool area and arcade area.

There is a volleyball net at the far side of the pool and a sand volleyball court on the outside gate of the pool. There are also basketball courts.

Then after seeing the pictures the boys wanted a tour.

Next we headed out to publix. We canceled our reservation for Topolino. Fun fact we love to cook and are obvious foodies. We bought all sorts of veggies and fruit. I have cut up chicken, peppers onions and garlic for wraps tonight.The kids are having a blast in the room with all of the space and air conditioning.

It is making a difference after 12 days on the road! The kids seem very content just to swim.
