The general buzz on that M1 is that it's a photoshop of an M3 . . . though it looks much better than that orange concept, doesn't it?

Here is the latest teasing image Nissan has offered for the 370Z:

I like it a lot. I've always been a fan of curves and a powerful rear on a car like this, and this glimpse seems to show it's going to have both of those key features.

Combined with an all but confirmed lower weight, shorter wheelbase and 330 HP, I think this may be my next car.

Cool!:sohappy:

Is using the motorcycle style disk-brake typical now, or is that a unique feature?

. . . and it may get good mieage, but you're still putting out CO2, aren't you?:lookaroun

For most of the upper tiered bikes, they are typical. This is my first bike to have them and only after a short ride, they are 10X better.

Yes, mucho C02

I was thinking about buying a cobia myself. Opted out for a cheaper Trek 6000 since I only ride a couple times a month. You made a great choice !

Yeah, I would be riding constantly on my old Trek...but just kinda pushed it aside and things got in the way. It was time for a new one and I hope to get out and hit some mountains this summer (although the trails around my house are fun too). Might as well pay for quality and comfort if you're gonna be on it a lot. I must've tried out a dozen bikes before finally choosing the Cobia. (I'm a Trek guy myself, but I fell in love with this one).

Here it is, the Ferrari California:

My first response is . . . like it, don't love it.

It looks 'okay', but I wouldn't say it's particularly striking. Hard-top convertible is a negative IMHO.

Front engine rather than mid-engine, so nothing exciting there. V-8 . . . could the engine configuration be any more boring than that?

If this was a $90,000 car, I'd be all over it, but my understanding is they want to push the F-430 upmarket and put this where the F-430 currently is, so look for it to start above $150K.

With cars like the Audi R8, a rumored revival of the BMW M1 etc., I think Ferrari is going to have some competition.

As far as styling, the Alpha 8C competizione made a much better initial impression on me than this new Ferrari.

What's everybody else think?

I agree with you. But I wouldn't even pay 90 for it. If it was priced in the Elise range...it would be much more enticing.

It's a nice looking ride...but not worth the price I'm sure they are going to put on it.

Why does "Ferrari Red" cost so much?

I think this is what really drove a nail into my subconscience when I first saw that Ferrari.

Separated at birth?

Wow, I guess the Ferrari is what the Lexus would've looked like if it was attractive

I still shake my head whenever I see one and think..."What were they thinking?"

Not one aspect of that car is nice. The lines are horrible, the "rims" are probably the ugliest set of rims of any vehicle...and yet it still has the little "L" on the front.

I look at the other rides in the Lexus lineup and they have some really nice cars. I hope they canned whoever designed it.

In a way, you really are paying for that "Ferrari Red" (and prancing horse) aren't you?

I was reading an article about how difficult it is to get Ferraris and how some people are on the waiting list for years.

They've got great marketing shtick going, but if the products eventually fall behind, that aura that sustains them may fade.

Won't it? Or is the Ferrari name simply so strong and so rich in history they could re-badge a Corvette and continue to survive?

Of course it'll survive. The "nose-in-the-air" types don't care about the quality or performance of the vehicle, they care about the name. How many people that actually own Ferrari's or Bentley's or Lambo's actually use them? Most are parked in a garage and get taken out just to impress people.

If Ferrari came out with a new "speedy" coupe in very limited production and rebadged a Chevy Citation in Ferrari red...people would pay for it.

This is rumored to be the new 370Z. It's unclear if it's a leak or a rendering based on the bits and pieces we've been seeing, but if it's not genuine, it should at least be very close (at least one report seemed to indicate they were snapped at a Nissan presentation):

Nice! I like the new headlights. The front fascia has a more aggressive look to it too.

I want to see the back end...it looks like the shape changed a tad.
