If you check that “slog” through the threads...you’ll see social/economic theorists predicting there was “no way” they be shut during the Busy spring break season...and no way they’d be shut to start the summer...and definitely “no way” they wouldn’t be open in June...What are you trying to do man? Actually, give them facts and truth? They won't stand for that!! haha
Cause you know: it’s all about concern for the poor workers
Now you’re looking at July.
So what “facts” have vindicated anyone at this point? And truth is being debated everyday...but it’s a one sided game as usual.
I think theaters might be done. This is the part I don't understand. How can it be ok to open a restaurant and allow 50% capacity with appropriate social distancing and yet you can't figure out a way to open a much larger space like a movie theatre, block off seats so people beyond your party wouldn't be near each other, and you could even wear a mask if you didn't open up the concessions? That seems like it would be safer than a much smaller space like a restaurant, which is also air conditioned, and people will be around each other for 60-90 minutes.
Like in June? The fact that the dates are only through June 6th lead me to believe they are going to try to start on a Sunday. So... the 7th or the 14th seems plausible. My money would be more likely for the 14th to get cast member training up to snuff, but that could change with new info.
I’ve got some magic beans to sell you.
Yep...people are forgetting that business won’t reopen to not make money. Nobody gets paid that way except the banks due to court orders. This is the thing that I have tried to explain to some friends of mine just because you say they can open, doesn't mean they have to open. Maybe they don't feel it's safe to open. Maybe it's not cost effective to open. Maybe they didn't read the rules on opening.
Anyone that thinks that still is either new to the world or honestly not really grasping the use of language properly anymore.Exactly. People keep thinking WDW will open as soon as Florida gives them the green light. That's just not true. They have a lot of other issues to contend with as a worldwide travel destination. Remember they closed before Florida had to and will likely follow federal guidance from the CDC far more than Florida.
There is no indication disney is in a rush at all.
And the cdc guidance just released is censored and pointless...it give no concrete guidance to avoid any responsibility...language was also altered to make near everything “optional”
Florida tried to sell the “you open and do it your way” two weeks ago with Disney and they laughed. Not gonna budge and take risks.
