Not to burst anybody's bubble, but the "Future projects announcement" for DAK may just be announcements/ more details on Everest and Lucky. I'd be very happy if that little "s" and the end of the "projects" indicates something else will be announced for future development, but I don't think we should get our hopes up. At least not to the point where we have people "disappointed" because they didn't announce anything. If they do, yeah, but I'm remaining cautious on interpreting that single phrase. Although, Everest looks to be aiming for a construction completion by the end of this year, and with its grand opening, it will probably be time to start yet another 2-3 year construction project for AK. So I do remain hopeful that something will be announced within the next year, but I'm not betting on next week to be that time

"Future projects announcement from Disney's Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World".....

Could be quite interesting. :lookaroun

Yeah, considering they will have a separate announcement of future attractions at MGM 2 days earlier.

My guess, MGM will announce new Star Wars 2 that has been discussed the past few days, and AK will announce something for their park.

Hello All!

I was wondering if ordinary guests (non-media) are allowed to attend these events. We'll be visiting next week, and I thought it might be interesting to see what goes on. Any idea?

Thanks!
J.-

Insideotherpark - - you might want to recheck that info. Between your posts and many other sources there is a conflict of details and times. I'm not being negative and saying you're wrong, but perhaps you should re-check it again. Someone I know at a local radio station here in town which is sending someone to the events confirmed for me on their schedule they received earlier this month that is says 1pm at Magic Kingdom for the global 50th event, nothing that afternoon. Also, over at Miceage.com they refer to the global satellite link up event that is occuring at Disneyland in the MORNING - thus that would fall into line with the 1pm schedule for the Magic Kingdom in Florida. Anyone with further info, please help!

Hey, guy this sounds really good!!! I have an idea how they're going to announce Everest....here's my idea:

They gather around a platform with some TV screens, just as normal as it could be, they announce what they announce, and then....they reveal Everest in a little teaser trailer, similar to what they did to advertise Space Mountain: Mission 2 in DLRP, and at the end of the trailer, you see a tense build-up of images liek in action movies, and then the screen goes black. Suddenly, you hear from ALL over the park, a gaint roar from the mountain, and giant YETI roar! Afterward, a little train goes down the curve in front of the mountain, and spirals down, and you see it plummeting and above it, you see a giant cloud of white smoke come afterward, as though it escaped an avalanche....

THAT would be cool...but, then again, my ideas are often rejected, but let's see about this...this should be good.... :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

Well... Everest has already been announced. They will only be giving more information about the attraction, and a possible opening date.
