Yet again you are giving us too much information on your personal life. The last time you were going to get naked for a YETI.

Or something that should be on a pay per view basis..

I am not holding my breath for any major announcements. If Disney announces something big, then I will be over joyed. If not, I will not be disappointed.

If Disney is announcing new attractions, then we can write off LMA, Soarin, Cinderellabration, and Everest, since these have already been announced, some open already. I think any announcement regarding new attractions will be brand new, not yet open or under construction, but soon to be under construction. But, I can see it now: WE ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE NEW ATTRACTIONS COMING TO WDW. IN MAGIC KINGDOM WE WILL BE OPENING 100 ACRE WOOD AND THE POOH PLAY AREA. THAT'S ALL FOR TODAY.

Nope.
But the "chatter" has picked up a bit lately, so you never know...... :lookaroun

You can't trust the shifty-eyed fellow. My guess is Lee is just dying to talk but can't b/c well - he does so often.

Hey, you know how these cats are...the CIA could learn a thing or two from tight-lipped Disney sources. :zipit:

Disney have gotten very good at keeping a lid on things recently. New attraction info leaks are getting rarer and rarer. If something is coming up for an announcement this May, there is nothing on the solid rumor mill about it. Having said that, the Everest announcement came out of nowehere (although the general rumor of a big coaster going somewhere had been around for years).

Does Disney want to distract people from the current crop of new openings to talk about a new future attraction at this stage? My guess would be no, and that future project announcements will be kept for a future time. I hope I am wrong though! ;)

Looks like Epcot is staying open until midnight on the fifth for the media. I got my work schedule for that week and I am schelduled until 1 am that day, which means the park closes at midnight (or I am assuming it does)

Can anyone clear up the conflicting posts about the media schedule? Most importantly, the Global 50th anniv. even at the Magic Kingdom on May 5. Is it at 1pm or 4pm or what??? Since the park is open all day, I would assume it's going to be at least partly visible by the public, if not fully if you are lucky enough to find a spot nearby and 'park it' for a while to watch.

Man I wish there was a spot to see this on the net or on TV. I bet something will be said that we aren't expecting but just all the official announcements that should be done like EE will be cool!

I'm hoping you're wrong as well Steve. My guess is that in fact there will be one or two major announcements. My reasoning is that we have had a major overhaul of DL, the major (and minor) additions at WDWthis year, we have Everest for next year, Iger and Co. would want to show the continued improvements, progress by announcing some major deliverables for 07-09.

It will surely be an interesting two weeks! I will put the 15 cents in my pocket on serious improvement to DCA, AK and MGM.

I would think there would be an announcement for AK and for MGM. Maybe something to tease about Epcot's 25th.

DCA is getting Monsters Inc and that will be announced at DL on the 4th I think along with the Nemo subs for DL.

Don't know about the rest of the "World", but I do know that Epcot closes to the general public at 3:00pm on May 5th. :(
