I'm going to believe Corrus and Lee...they've both been right NUMEROUS times, so if they say this is false, I'll go with that.

Besides...you can't prove the rumor...because you can't prove your source.

I don't mean to be rude, but why are you even posting this? You don't have to believe him but there's no need to rub it in his face! This is no popularity contest.

My point is that I'm guessing that the majority of opinions that will appear on this thread will run in the 14-29 crowd, mostly which will be too young to appreaciate the importance of that ride as it relates to WDW.

I'm always reading where everyone wants new rides, new technology, etc., etc. But let's remember that WDW WILL have to maintain some traditional attractions that connect the dots, so to speak, of Disneys' history, and where they came from. If you were to continue changing rides for the sake of changing rides, WDW would cease to be WDW, and would become just another thrill ride/dark ride park. Is that what we want? I know I don't.

I don't know if you misread many of the discussions, but most of the people on the forums are all for keeping the classics and not just putting a new coaster in every week. I have to agree with Bill that Snow White(the ride, not movie) lacks the special qualities to make it a classic. I can't put my finger on it, but it just doesn't move me like other rides do.

Oh yay....I know Snow White is a classic ride and such but seriously I'm 19 years old and the ride still terrifies me. I just don't like that the whole ride is about the witch! I'm glad they are planning on changing up the ride a bit. I'm not saying shut down the whole Snow White idea itself but it could use some changes!

Sir Goofy

I don't believe I'm misreading a lot these posts, but just seeing where as time goes on, the younger generation will always want things that differ from those of us with a little "age" on us.

And although there haven't really been many major changes that have taken away any of the classics, I still don't want to see that happen. I'm all for the addition of new rides, don't get me wrong. More bang for your buck is always a good thing from the consumer point of view. But I know that I don't want to see any movement towards parks like Busch Gardens, Universal Studios.

My Wife and I love coasters, but I also like the layout of the parks as is. Could there be improvements? Of course. But if I am reading a lot the posts here from cms and guests alike, I'm thinking that upgrades in maintenance are much more needed than necessarily adding new rides right now. I think it's a process that has to be followed one step at a time. Let's put our ducks in a row first. I think they are doing the right thing by working on Small World, etc. getting the maintenance done that needs doing. After all those projects are done, then let's spend some money on new attractions. But if you have people noticing the state of disrepair of ANY areas of the parks, shouldn't those be addressed first? I know this is a bit of a drift, but it illustrates a different perspective than is being offered by this "rumor" that WDI is "actively" searching for a replacement for this particular ride.

Let's fix what we have first, then worry about new additions.

I think that Snow White is classic and what not, but its not that big of a deal if they change it. Although I agree that there isnt much room for expansion anyway.
