I have nothing really to add that hasn't been mentioned previously, but as a long-time fan of the graphic novel I'm actually pretty excited about this film. Looks like it might actually be able to live up to the source material (no small feat in my opinion).

Glad to see so many others are equally interested. I'll be watching this thread closely, as it looks like Servo has the 411 on news updates for the film.

You probably have heard, but allegedly Kevin Smith was impressed with the rough cut he was shown. Whether you think his opinion is worthwhile or not is another conversation, though.

I got to see a sneak preview of one of the Harry Potter films...Goblet of Fire, I think. Most of the effects were not done yet so it was pretty weird watching it. I really had a hard time answering the questions afterwards because I spent most of the movie trying to fill in the gaps and didn't remember a lot of it. I enjoyed the final product much more.

So, answering your quesiton...no, I don't live in Portland.

I just watched it...AWESOME! I really am looking forward to this...moreso than anything else at the moment (Transformers 2 is close though).

The Black Freighter story arch will actually be a side Animated direct-to-DVD movie, and Zach has said it won't be in the theatrical cut of the film.
