FYI: iTunes, under TV shows, is doing a really neat animated retelling of Watchmen, using the actual panels. It's free, and really neat. The voicework is off since it's all voiced by one guy, but it's still neat to see the comic in motion.

I just bout the Watchmen paperback version a few weeks back and am loving reading it.
I have a hard time believing that this movie will be a huge success, but still can't wait for this movie.

I finally read the Entertainment Weekly article on Watchmen. I thought it was an OK article, really doesn'te tell you much if you are a fan of the comic, but I am sure it was a bit informative for new fans.

In the new issue of Wizard there is a one page article as well. I hope Wiz starts doing more coverage about the film. I'd love for them to do an issue dedicated just to the history of Watchmen. (They did this a few times for Spider-man, Superman, the X-men or Wolverine-forget which, and the Justice League.)

Anyway, still reading it on lunch and I just love it. I think my first read years back I read it too fast and I wasn't paying close enough attentionto it. I am completely loving this book the second time around.

Major, major, MAJOR spoiler here for all that have not read the book.

Code:
Matthew Goode said in an interview "I play the villain Adrian Vedt."

*sigh* Might be time to keep some people on tight leashes...

What I'm wondering is if the film itself keeps this revelation under wraps until the end (like in the book), or if this guy was just saying something that you find out in the first 5 minutes.

If it's the latter, then... :hammer:

That spoiler is one that is revelaed in the end.

The article in EW had a mention that they changed the ending a bit. I wonder what they changed?

I'm looking forward to the animated Black Freighter DVD they are doing.

Who's your favorite Watchmen character?

I like Rorchach a lot, he has a great look and is such a bad ______. A bit of the Question, even a bit of Batman in there (maybe Year One style), and maybe sort of some Punisher in there as well. He's someone you never want to ________ off that is for sure!

The original Night Owl I like as well. An interesting character, both in his younger days and his retired one.

I think my favorite though is the Dan Dreiberg, the current Night Owl. I love how he is a mix of both the Blue Beetle and a more kinder Batman.

I'm also excited how their costumes look for the film. Rorchach (or Raw Shark like that part from the comic) looks amazing, they did a great job with him) and Night Owl looks great.
