After a whole bunch of headache and a total of more than 6.5 hours on hold, I finally got my reservations worked out and park days reserved. Then I noticed that there's no Magical Express option or page on the site. Anyone heard anything about Magical Express? Did I miss it?

Magical Express should be available from what Disney has said.

Argh! I am trying to put my info in, but there's no place for it on the site. Hopefully it gets updated soon. Still two weeks to go.
Try going into the reservation in MDE and modify it, it should allow you to add transportation, you enter the flight info and checkout. There is no charge but you still go through the checkout process. Use desktop website, not app.

If (and at this point I think it’s a pretty big “if”) WDW’s opening gets pushed, it would have to be the company’s call. Orange County has already said they are staying out of it, and there is no way DeSantis would ever try to stop them.

While they have already proven that they are willing to sort of do their own thing, I don’t see a world where WDW doesn’t reopen while Universal and SeaWorld continue to operate. There is already an “acceptable standard” for operating parks in Orlando, and that doesn’t seem to be going away.

That said, the point at which this really becomes irreversible is next week when parks CM’s start getting called back to work in order to gear up for operations.
They already started calling people back for the parks, my twin who is being deployed to Epcot starts week of July 6th.

I would say no. I live in a state that's spiking. Hospitals are not overwhelmed. I think the media overblows a lot of it. We are not walking back anything as far as I know. In March we didn't know a lot about the virus. Now we know it's not very deadly, most people have mild symptoms or are asymptomatic. COVID will be around for a while. We have to learn to live with it.
I think there are 124,000+ people and their families would disagree about the disease being overblown

Where did they move you to.

I had two reservations, because I'd added a day to my original trip but had to book it standalone to keep free dining. So that single day will be moving from Pop to OKW. Coming down July 6-7 to eat at Sanaa and Topolinos, enjoy OKW, then coming home for a few days.

My second reservation - the full original one w free dining - I modified to 7/12-7/17 and kept Pop. I was told that if your arrival date is before the parks reopen, you can't keep park tickets. So it's either take a big room upgrade or visit the parks, but not both.

Most have already been called back and are scheduled to return at the start of next week.

Indeed. I do not think it will get pushed back but if it does, a Friday night news dump tomorrow would be most likely.

If they had any plan to postpone the announced date, they would not have rolled out the reservation system on Monday and I really doubt they would have sent out emails yesterday asking people to confirm their trips.

Yes but when they scheduled the release of the reservations system that was before a week of record case highs.

For those that were upgraded did they say you had to pay the difference? We were moved from the Boardwalk Contemporary(really wanted the Poly) and they added on $300 to our total which I was confused about but maybe it takes a couple days to correct itself with everything going on?

If that's what they offered you and didn't notify you when changing of an increase, Guest Services will adjust the billing and send you a new confirmation within a couple days.

I called guest services directly, and it was a free of charge upgrade. We went from ASM Family Suites to 2 bedroom Villa at AKL KIdani village, and all he said was " let me adjust this price and we will be done" and no money exchanged hands.

And here I got excited on my last trip when I paid for little mermaid and got a Cars family suite... that’s a huge upgrade! Congrats.

I love Animal Kingdom Lodge, probably my favorite Disney resort. It’s just perfect.
