5th gate? Just build a new resort Bob.
The only thing I can thing of is for some part of the cavalcades or some other surprise entertainment. I don't have any specific details.
Giving it a minute more thought, I did see this post saying that his friend who plays Indiana Jones was recalled to do a modified show. Obviously not day 1 put perhaps a fast follow.

This is odd to me considering there's equity folks already back at Universal for some of the shows (Horror Makeup, for one), including some that also do acting work at Disney.

I didn't even think any performative things were happening. If so, not many. Most of them won't be called back anyway so why not have the rest stay home as non-essential? I didn't think they were doing any live shows and it certainly makes sense for them to stay home. Why does it have to be punitive to the company that worked so hard on a really safe plan? Nobody is going back into shut down so why further destory businesses that ARE taking it seriously? It's never going to be a perfect time but the safety measures being implemented by Disney are exceptional.

The full statement makes it seem like they have been negotiating and are at an impass regarding testing. They are also separately making the argument that since DLR is not opening due to the spike in CA, they should also delay reopening in Florida due to the even higher per capita case numbers there, which does seem like a tricky needle to thread for them.

I would say no. I live in a state that's spiking. Hospitals are not overwhelmed. I think the media overblows a lot of it. We are not walking back anything as far as I know. In March we didn't know a lot about the virus. Now we know it's not very deadly, most people have mild symptoms or are asymptomatic. COVID will be around for a while. We have to learn to live with it.
What state do you live in?

Aren't the gathers at Savis Light Saber actors equity? Maybe we have it reversed. Could the reason performance aren't scheduled is contract issues with actors equity
