I think that I read somewhere that Universal is doing temperature checks at the resorts during check in. I wonder if Disney will do that?
I thought Universal was doing temp checks to get into the building. I haven’t heard either way if Disney was going to do temp checks at every resort or just the parks.

The new disclaimer stating that "a Resort Hotel reservation doesn't guarantee park access" does not mean that guests with existing reservations won't be able to buy tickets and make park reservations. They're simply protecting themselves from the inevitable Karen at the front desk.

The way I understand it:
1. Park Reservation System goes online for guests with packages to reserve their park dates.
2. Park Reservation System and new ticket sales go live for guests with existing resort reservations. (based on remaining capacity).
3. Park Reservation System is made available to APers (based on remaining capacity).
4. Park Reservation System is made available to guests with existing tickets (based on remaining capacity).
5. New ticket sales are made available to the GP, granting them access to the park reservation system (based on remaining capacity).

(3 and 4 could swap order)

I'd expect info released soon with access to begin within the next 2 weeks.
“Karen”

Drives a Honda Odyssey, always has a lathe McDonald’s drink in her hand, has a terrific kid sticker on her bumper, talks really loud, complains about the line at guest services, hogs like four chairs and a table at the pool, always has like 31 coupons, wants to speak with the manager, belittles her husband, but God forbid she disciplines her children.

I doubt it. Telling a family they can’t get on the bus at the airport won’t be a pretty scene. If they do try that then people can just take Uber or a cab from the airport instead or rent a car or just drive instead of flying.
I wonder if WDW will place a restriction on guests based off their MDE address? They could cancel the reservation in advance based off this state law.

A lot of people are wondering about the new park reservation system going live and it got me thinking...I wonder if Disney will soon announce AP holder previews and have AP holders use the new system to make park reservations so that the system can be tested before making it live for the July openings? Of course it's just a thought.

Sure they could. I’m sure that will ensure happy returning customers for years to come. People were already nervous about giving Disney personal information for their tracking system so the perfect way to confirm those fears were real and also alienate loyal customers is to cancel their reservations in advance based on it. It’s more than 10% of the US population from an area that has a lot of people that fit Disney’s target demographic perfectly.

Disney has no desire to enforce state bans. Thats why its worded the way it is.

Seems highly likely. I also believe the rumors park hopping may take a hiatus.

Your AP's start the next time you go, so you're good. You are not an AP until you have activated your vouchers (if they still call them that) and vouchers are good for years. The only reason you'd want a refund is if you needed the money badly or you never want to go to Disney again! Edit: oh I see kids in college, well just kidnap them over the summer!
I understand that. We've had APs for several years in the past. I have no desire to get a refund. We will go next summer for sure. Its the following summer that gets complicated with college and a European vacation planned. Plus the price goes up every few months, so I wouldn't want to get a refund only to have to purchase them again at the higher price. The vouchers we have don't expire for years, so they are good for some time. So I guess my issue is more of a selfish one. We really wanted to visit this year. Thanks for the tip!
