The negativity isn't as bothersome as the stunning lack of tolerance for opposing viewpoints - like "fixing" someone else's post because it doesn't say what you think it should. Eventually, all you hear is what you want to hear, and that's kind of sad (and boring).
I’ve only seen modifying others posts done on this forum. It’s obnoxious and it shouldn’t be allowed. Whats the point of a discussion forum if it’s just an echo chamber.

I’ve been this year. Just haven’t been since March. My only major complaint was security and entrance which I think has now been fixed with the new scanners.

Even though Epcot was a mess of a park, the Festival of the Arts was just great.

If I knew everything I know now, I would have hit Disney when they reopened and crowds were so low, I was expecting us to be out of this mess by now!

Ok let's qualify that attendance period to post-closure. Many of us have gone to WDW multiple times for more than a week each after the re-opening and are still here. No amount of hysteria, belief, or diatribe posting provides any sort of immunity. Folks forgot basic sanitation that most were taught in kindergarten and we collectively pay the price as a result.

When we were there the temp check lines were short. I’m not sure what the situation is now. I like the way Universal did it. They check your temp at the resort, give you a colored bracelet and you are good to go. It would be a nice perk for Disney resort guests to be able to bypass the temp line.

Lol. Now I’m picturing Mary Poppins going through security and the umbrella talking back to the security guards. “Mary Poppins goes to Epcot - only on Disney+”

Its not just hearsay, every time I had my compact umbrellas in my camara rucksack, I was diverted as the system triggered. Remove said instruments of death and hold them in one hand and the bag in another ahead of my body walking through the scanners and no trigger. My DLSR (mirrored) and lenses have more metal in them and dont trigger the new system.

Well, either you're espousing things you call facts and, in fact, aren't true; and you're being called out on it. So, deal with it.

OR... you have a minority opinion about something non-factual (which makes it an opinion) and the majority disagrees with you. Oh well. Deal with it.

Otherwise this is just playing the victim card, or the politics of grievance, or snowflakitude.

Something to note Tokyo Disneyland is beginning to reduce social distancing in some shows, rides even with the record/highest number of positive tests in Japan currently.

Probably the first steps we will see in WDW in a few months

Changes in Tokyo Disneyland/DisneySea:

More walk in, reservations not required in some restaurants there now
Playgrounds in parks open
More characters out and about not just in cavalcades - simialr to what they are doing with Anna in EPCOT
PhilharMagic every row seated now, now markings in the queue for separation
Removed Plexiglass from some rides and seating all rows in ride vehicles. Add plexiglass on a few rides.

Judging from the crowds and availability, I think that capacity has quietly been raised a little bit more at the WDW parks, like it was before.
Lets get some context on Tokyo daily positives. If Florida looked like this I could support reduced restrictions but it does not and to say Japan has their highest numbers ever but I don't see it

I don’t have a problem with people disagreeing with me. Just be respectful. There needs to be rules on a forum. Its not that hard.

You clearly get a kick out of flaunting your ignorance of CDC guidelines that’s trying to reduce the spread.

Take a look in the mirror before you play the victim card.
Guidelines are guidelines and rules are rules. Forums usually have rules regarding personnel attacks and name calling. It’s not playing the victim card to say to disagree respectfully. I am very aware of the CDC guidelines, but I can make my own choices.

You can travel shame people on this board all you want, but what are really accomplishing. Your not changing anyone’s mind.

You are the one making fun of people for not traveling.

We don’t have enough “courage” to stay in a hotel and eat in restaurants. Remember?

Just stop. You are being hypocritical.

That was directed at me...but I really could care less. I do find this whole line of posts Ironic, but some people have a really difficult time with self perception. It is what it is. I think this is a pretty good site and I do think it’s moderated fairly, with a whole bunch of people banned from the other Covid thread for personal attacks against each other. I always find that if something bothers you that much it’s best to just report it to the moderators instead of posting about it and escalating, but I can’t control anyone else’s behavior.

You specifically said we would see this at WDW in in a few months so I don‘t understand how that’s not comparing it.

I was just pointing out that I agree it will happen eventually at WDW but a few months seems very unlikely since the situations are not the same. I wouldn’t assume that because Tokyo Disney (not run by TWDC) is doing something it’s going to happen at WDW soon too. Late Spring or summer seems a lot more likely to me for WDW. If you are going to WDW in a few months, like for President’s Day Weekend, don’t expect to see these roll backs of restrictions in place. Spring Break? Maybe possible to see the start of some changes.
umm, in a few months numbers will be better, I hear there is a vaccine that will be in play, Presidents Day is 2 months away, a few months is 3-4 months, put us into April, like you said spring break, numbers will be significantly better by then, not near over of course, but better. Making a big effort to be contrarian, when you are saying the same as I said.
