Ah yes, "no known links between nascar and covid" only spikes in the county exactly two weeks after the race. 🤪

Also, you're purposefully misrepresenting Iowa.

So running at ~15% capacity is back to normal now. Guess WDW is back to normal too.

Show me where any outbreak or anything has been associated with any NASCAR event.

“We were seeing an upswing prior to the race and that upswing has continued at a pretty steady rate,” Dr. Andrew Stephen May, the medical director of the Sullivan County Regional Health Department, told The Observer. “But we didn’t actually identify a spike related to the race.”

How am I purposely representing Iowa? All I said was they had a tournament that had over 29, 000 fans

ah yes. It those trips to the east coast that are causing the virus to spread, when basically no one is traveling. Never mind the fact they aren’t asking about it in particular. “We aren’t looking for it, so we aren’t finding it.” Just like how zero cases have been tracked back to WDW.

“Disney world had 90,000 guests today.”

If you don’t see how that’s mischaracterizing it then your just being purposefully obtuse.

Don’t feed the troll....they are running out of threads to spew their spin.

Since you are name calling me, on a serious note how am I trolling. I am sharing an opinion as others have and with actual facts. People are allowed to have opinions on here? Yes I am not a doom and gloom guy, so that makes me in your words a troll? Numbers have been trending better in Florida, yes I think the hours will be extended sooner than later once the people start seeing that. This is evidenced by the news and seeing other events like sports being played with fans as it is being planned even as early as next week in Orlando. Everyone keep doing what they are doing, masks, physical distancing etc. it will get better.

He’s not trolling. He really believes what he’s saying.

I agree with this. Keep doing what we have been doing recently. Of course that doesn’t include fans in the stands at sporting events (MLB playing with empty stadiums and NBA in a bubble) and parties on college campuses. The best way to keep WDW (and other businesses) open and going strong would be to hold the course and get the outbreaks under control.

Just as we are seeing some conferences deciding to play and others not at this point, I think you will see some allow fans and others not at limited capacities. The biggest factor going in favor of fan attendence is that the stadiums are outdoors where the chance of infection is greatly reduced, with rows and seats being blocked off, masks being worn. Other than students, the only other fans will be season ticket holders because of the reduced capacity. Just like you are seeing most people at DIsney following the mask rules, I think season ticket holders will also do the same since they know what will be at stake for their future attendence. As for going to and leaving the stadium, with 20% or so capacity the chances of major bottlenecks won't be that great. Unless the game goes down to the wire, most people now don't stay much past half way through the 4th quarter. I see it every home game where I have season tickets. Schools may very well not have concession stands either where people can gather. I have gotten a survey asking for my opinion as to each guest getting a prepackaged concessions box as they enter as part of the ticket price.

It won't work perfectly, and it's still somewhat of a longshot that it even happens, but I think a lot of schools will give it a shot.

Low testing leads to a higher percent positive not lower. Back when Disney announced the opening percent positive and overall cases were both low meaning that there was a much lower level of virus in the community spreading.

I guess you have the science to back up this ridonkulous claim.

Earlier on in the pandemic, and even in some locations now, they will only test you if you have symptoms. Obviously, if one has symptoms they are more likely to actually test positive. If you are not testing a lot and testing only those with symptoms, you're going to see a higher percent positive.

On some threads, the mods have been extremely biased in their enforcement. So the "we're all gonna die" crowd has been emboldened.
