Why would it? No way for them to lock the Dreamlights behind a paywall.

Did we watch the same movie? Mal did not improve the "sentence." The three good fairies did. Mal said Aurora would prick her finger and die and then departed rapidly, apparently because she was notified of a hot Prime Day Lightning Deal.
3 Good Fairies did that.....

Here’s the issue of the Dream Lights getting cancelled, IMO. If they’ve surveyed why guests go to the event and what not, something like the Dream Lights is not the reason they go to the event. Disney LOVES surveys, and said survey would show the Dream Lights as an unnecessary expense.
Now, I believe that no one goes to MVMCP or to WDW during the holidays for the Dream Lights. I think things like the Dream Lights keep guests coming back. Disney tries to use surveys for anything they can, but there are some things a survey can’t show.
