While the ceremony its self was really good (Hugh Jackman was surprisingly an excelent host!), the awards themselves sucked. While I'm happy Wall-E won for best animated picture, it clearly should've won for best sound and best music. No argument. I dont get at all why slumdog won those.

And Benjamine Button having the most nominations and winning most of them... I thought it was good movie, but I didn't think it was THAT good.

And oh boy, Sean Penn wins over Mickey Rourke and gives us a boring lecture on his politics. The acadamy is truly out of touch with today's audiences.

That was really upsetting. Mickey Rourke deserved that award.

WALL-E should have won the sound awards, hands down. At least it got the animated award, though it should have been nominated for best picture. I am okay with Slumdog winning so many, because wasn't made by the typical hollywood elite.

I thought Stanton talking about being in "Hello Dolly" in high school was so cute.

Slumdog was a an alright movie. infact a good movie. but people are overhyping it too too much.

i liked the story. but all in all it was just another love story =|. and i didnt like the ending either with the way it killed any realism of the movie. good movie however

Wall-e was simply amazing.i think it stole at least 90 of my dollars. thats how much i loved it. i'm surprised at the lack of awards for wall-e and TDK =|

The Academy just doesn't like high-grossing, popular movies like Titanic (oh wait)....

Wall-E and Dark Knight raked in over 1.5 BILLION worldwide at the box office and they got a grand total of 3 Oscars?

There's somethign wrong here....

This is for all my Movies sent upriver...

Seriously, WALL-E and Dark Knight were snubbed.

And I think UP and CERTAINLY Princess and the Frog won't stand a chance next year if they don't snub Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea. (Though a win for Miyazaki is a win for PIXAR, so if those are the nominees next year, technically the same group of people win anyways.)

The best part was getting to see Dale and Saul watch Movies.

PINEAPPLE EXPRESS = OSCAR GOLD.

I really enjoyed the awards. I think Benjamin Button and Slumdog are two GREAT movies, and very different movies. Do I think TDK should have been nominated? Yes. But Heath won, and that's what I cared about.

I may have preferred Benjamin Button to win, but Slumdog was a powerful movie in its own right. I LOVE that Kate Winslet finally won an award, but thought Angelina gave a wonderful performance in Changeling.

Hugh Jackman was great, and Will Smith's line about action movies actually having fans was very funny. I also loved previous winners presenting this year's awards.

I enjoyed the show. Wasn't angry at all about the results.

Whoever would have won for Best Animated Feature, there was no way I'd have been disappointed; loved all three of the nominated films. :D
