'Villains Unleashed' hard ticketed event coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios in August

I am getting a but frustrated/concerned about the more of these "ticketed" events. The more $$$ Disney can get out of us, the more they'll keep reducing the activities included in your "regular" vacation package price, which includes closing the parks earlier for these so-called ticketed events! I just think it's sad, but that is just MHO.:(

Clearly you forget "E-ride nights".....

I wonder what the cap will be on tickets sold? If they sell tickets and guests have some of the same issues as last time people will be ticked for paying extra.

Well, if they limit it to 10 or 20k thats still way less than the capacity of DHS and that party

This will sell out immediately. I wonder what kind of food offerings, if it will be a buffet like Harambe nights or more along the lines of cookies/hot coco.

I agree, I went to the first event and it was a MADHOUSE!!!!!! I cant imagine paying an additional $67.00 or thereabouts for that. Some serious changes would have to be made including more food options left open, scatter more events around the park and not concentrated in the one area etc. I wonder if Brimstone will be returning.......I hope so, they were pretty freakin' amazing!!!! The problem is-they already reduced certain offerings long ago & they're never coming back. This is a way to have it at a cost. Better that than nothing

So what will it take you guys to buy a ticket? Does it need to be more than what was offered for Unleash the Villains at Limited Time Magic? Are you looking for more rare meet and greets, food and drinks, new firework show?

I would buy a ticket to see Disney execs passing out free bottled water again. LOL

They better have everything they did last time with extra stuff added on to it. Plus, they must have no different back to back character sets. No bringing out Jafar when Oogie is supposed to be out. The character locations must be spaced out throughout the park. They must have all set times clearly listed and know who is supposed to be out when and were. NO managers giving out false and incorrect information. A villains character meal that night would be an added bonus.

Also, if DCE brings out anyone rare and when I say "rare" I mean a character that appears once every 5 years they better have a back to back. If people pay $67 bucks to come to this and they don't deliver the line will be longer at GR than the last event.

If Special Events can deliver, this can be a very successful party. If they don't address the issues from last time there could be mass riots in the streets. Well, maybe not riots but you get my drift.

Essentially, getting their collective stuff together.

My only complaint is that these offerings should be available to all guests.

If they continue with all of these hard ticket offerings, there's going to be an obvious divide between the the upper echelon of guests and everyone else. It's not what Disney has stood for since its founding.
I am not so sure I agree with you. In 1971, Disney World was so expensive compared to county fairs and amusement parks that my parents thought our 1972 trip would be a "once in a lifetime" event. They had such a great experience it became something to save money to do.

There has always been an ability to pay more to get more - deluxe resorts versus motels on I-Drive and 192; behind the scenes tours, Richard Petty Driving Experience, sunset savannah tour for concierge level guests at Animal Kingdom Lodge, etc. When I was a cast member in the mid-80s, closed park corporate parties were not uncommon in the offseason.

All of Disney World's offerings have never been available to everyone with a day pass.

Meaning, that if Oggie Boogie is out, he better be back to back. Not in and out with Jack/Sally.

Well.

Hard Ticket events are limited to a cap of XXXX people. SO that giant Cluster should not happen again.

Since I was there for the night of fail it would take me knowing the capacity of Hollywood Studios. A cm has told me in the past that the hard ticket events at Magic Kingdom operate at 1/2 capacity. I am going to assume this will be the same case of a Villain party. I would want assurance that the traffic nightmare that was 9/13 doesn't repeat itself. It would take cast members knowing what was going on and when. We were told the fireworks would take place at the end of the night. So we rode Star Tours and TADA the fireworks took place in the 10 minutes we were inside the line. It would take a decent amount of limited merchandise being sold at SEVERAL locations. Spreading out villains is obvious but they need to have those characters out ALL NIGHT. None of this switching crap. I would want every single villain possible plus Ursala. Oh and the knowledge that there would be food and drinks available all night. I wish the tickets went on sale next month as that is a lot of money on top of the AP I already have for an event that let me down last time.
