You and all your angst!

And it's because Disney is a company founded on Characters. :p

Here's the part where I bring up the original characters that have been doing fine since 1963 in DL..;).WDI made 'em and they are classics. Why do this to them.

And Expo, those are the people that will go to WDW(and Uni and SeaWorld) because it's there and popular. Not like the fans that go for the content...like us.

Well, they already ruined the show to begin with, including Iago and Zazu...I don't see them going back to the original version (Disney rarely does that) so I think this would be the next best step.

And there are other classic attractions at WDW that are still around that aren't at DL...

That's true...But Why not do a part II?Use the Original Characters and have them sing new songs...It would work...A nod to a classic while still having th integrity of the old attraction-Everyone's happy!:D

I don't think it would make everyone happy...there's always someone who's unhappy with something. :lookaroun

Here's a great way they can make stitch work for american audiences and fanboys and fangirls

give wdw's tiki room a nice facelift and full refurb with up to date sounds, lighting, AA's, clean sets, etc, etc

remove SGE and take the the stitch AA and put him in the stitch room (looks like the one in tokyo is the same style AA figure as the one in SGE)

anyway, the we get back our barker bird and original preshow, and even the show starts out the same, we all wake up jose and they do in the tiki tiki tiki blah blah blah tiki room

perhaps one more original number and then the when they want to use the magic fountain it doens't work and we hear all sorts of noises and stitch pops out of nowhere and all the birds are like ?! but they make friends and all the girls on the birdmobile (please don't have them wearing stitch ears) and the tikis and totem poles all sing to say 2 stitch songs with a poly theme, and then the show ends because once again the gods have gotten angry by something and evething ends as it was with "you've heard the flowers sing, etc and high ho"

that way the show is modern technologically, looks great, and is a balance between old and new.
This sounds perfect!
And I agree with the removal of the stitch ears on the birds.
Too bad we can't understand their storyline yet...

I actually love Stitch, and think it is very cool.
If they are gonna get rid of anything, PLEASE put us out of our misery and close the Country Bears. I have nightmares about that show, and break out in a cold sweat even just walking by it in the park!!!

That's actually how I've always felt about it. I never did get the argument that he didn't fit. He was an alien.

The problem comes in that most people think of Stitch as he was in most of the film: in a tropical setting. I haven't seen the movie in a long time, but I remember the space/alien setting of the film to be quite brief. I know he is an "alien", but the sci-fi setting isn't what you think of when you think of the character from the film.

If we do get the Tiki Room show with Stitch, I would be willing to bet that not only will it be a better show than SGE (I'm going out on a limb I know), but will be more crowd pleasing and will push more merchandise. If they aren't going to bring the original show back, then the next best choice is a show involving the Stitch AA's from SGE.

This is the dumbest thing I have ever seen, the imagineers have lost it, they are getting lazy in my opinion why don't they just put Stich on each ride, so many different characters in the Disney archives but lets keep using the same one and not introduce the classic characters to the younger generations:shrug:

I like the idea of adding Stitch to the Tiki Room. Nothing like a space alien singing Elvis songs with a bunch of birds.

But..

It will likely include the song in some form. Again, WDI is riding on this attraction to succeed so that they may replace Under New Management with the Enchanted Stitch Room and free up attraction space in the area where Stitch's Great Escape currently occupies.

I hope I was not the only one that picked up what jedimaster1227 said about "free up attraction space".

What are they going to free up attraction space for. Looks like this Stitch move is for a reason to add a new attraction.
