If they are such big fan's of the original than why do they suggest that the birds should "get hip" or your audience will dissappear. I would rather have the wrecking ball than having an obnoxious parrot calling me a sucker for 15 minutes.

Ugh, I find myself having to say something to support Disneynut2007 lol if only a little anyways!

At the time in the 90s, when the WDW Tiki room was falling apart...quite literally feathers dropping off the birds (no joke!), flowers with broken mouths,etc...they truly considered destroying the attraction since the fans were turned off by all this and attendance numbers had plummeted. So YES they saved the Tiki Room from demolition.... the lesson they took was that it needed to be changed along with the fixing up of the attraction itself. At the time, this course seems logical... later when they announced plans to do the same at DL people from all over made it clear that they loved the attraction. The Imagineers took a leap of faith and fixed up the attraction (shortening the show too but leaving the heart and soul of the original show intact) and Now it is a big success.

So, now with Disneyland's success story in mind, I believe they see the same result in WDW Orlando, and I believe they will be successful.

There's a problem though. I think the main reason why the tiki room is popular again is because its at the enterance of adventureland in DL and has the torches that draw people in. Even if WDW added torches, it still wouldn't really draw people in because its not really in a good location.

Add the barker bird or even Iago & Zazu outside to attract visitors ...worked too well in the past....bet it would do the trick.

UNM was always great and its too bad that thick-headed individuals such as yourself refuse to see that and get it through your heads! Embrace it immediately or I'll have Iago come to your house and scream at you through his megaphone non-stop until you loose your hearing completely. :fork:

LOL... well buddy you better bring some batteries for that megaphone of yours because I will never abandon Jose, and his flock. It is where my first memory of Disney was when was a young 5 year old boy at Disney World for the first time in 1971 (yep, opening year!)... I always loved the show, always will... and nothing will ever detract me from that feeling... if you are the type of person who wears down people in debates, you will be involved in this one until either you or I dies of old age.....

As for my skull being thick....sure OK....personal attacks on those who disagree with you is always a great way to win over support... You Fail! :) LOL

Also, Jedimaster--- if you could answer--- would the SGE replacement take advantage of the same MtM/AE/SGE sunken theaters-in-the-round? Or would they finally fill those in like they did at DL to build the Pizza Port restaurant??

The replacement for SGE has not yet been finalized, so unfortunately I don't have a solid answer for you yet. I've been hearing murmurs here and there that the replacement will feature the same theaters with some of the sets/systems/pieces of AE/SGE (the ones that are there as we speak) returning, but I have no solid confirmation on that yet.

I have seen the whole show and NO it will NOT have any original song in it...

We will be getting a different version of the Enchanted Stitch Room here in Orlando. While it won't have any original scores, it will have new songs with new lyrics utilizing existing scores. Some of the original songs will also make a return.

True, the true orginal wont return, but the Disneyland show I believe is in WDW Orlando's future.

No. It isn't.

LOL... Disneynut2007, it is You that is in the Minority and stop quoting how many WDW guests love UNM as I think you are clearly either making this up or something else.... as for any fate you desire to bestow upon us who dare to not embrace your views... GOOD LUCK WITH THAT :)

I believe Disneynut2007 has inverted his definitions of fact and opinion lol

I don't do this much anymore, but I'm gunna offer you a little advice so that we can get back on topic--friendly topic.

Besides the large amount of double posting you have done (I counted nine posts in a row), you seem to be in the start of a flame war. Before the mods get involved, I would recommend that it gets dropped, because you don't want that to mark you for your first major interaction in the forum.

Members here can appreciate your passion for an attraction, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If you disagree, say so in a manner that can't be misconstrued to be on the offensive, and the same won't happen to you. Shoving your passion down someone's throat isn't respectable here (thats what other forums are for). Even if you aren't the first to be on the offensive, it is better to back down and let it go (and if you really have a problem with the person, just set your profile to ignore that user's posts from now on).

Many of us are passionate here, but mixing fact and opinion doesn't often work out because someone who does know fact from fiction will likely end up correcting you if you are wrong. Rumors are debatable until an attraction is built and opened, but until that time, anything is fair game--so be the better person and don't feed the fire further.

There is my shortened spiel (I've written much longer for far worse)...

Back on topic, let it be noted that if the attraction is installed in WDW, it will utilize one of the two Stitch animatronics from SGE with the other being shipped off to an undisclosed location for future use. Stitch doesn't really fit into the revamp-plan for Tomorrowland, which is why his move to Adventureland is in the cards.

I was reading the thread as I had not read it before....so my responses were in a row...

This thread seems to be filled with too many opinions being presented as fact, with people getting all sorts of testy if someone disagrees.

PLEASE learn to disagree without resorting to yelling, belittling, and name calling. Thank you.

Great news to here. But dang, I'm almost done with a fanfiction script for my interperation of an English version of the Stitch Tiki Room. It sounds similar to what WDI is going to actually do though.(Mine is slighly based of the Tokyo version that uses elements from all four incarantions of the Tiki Room with two Lilo & Stitch songs).

So Jedimaster, I need to ask, with WDI working on an actual WDW version, does this mean I probably shouldn't post my fanfiction script now? After all, I have no idea what WDI is going to do, and posting it now might jepordize their plans(In case I accidently thought of something they might actually use).

I think it would be cool if they replaced Zazu and (whatever that bird's name is) with Stich and...Donald! That would be a show going to!
