But if we lose UNM, we lose another classic Phil Hartman performance.

SIMPLY ADJUST THE POWER LEVELS TO COMPENSATE...

PERHAPS ANOTHER BOOST...

WOW!!! The video shown has totally blown me away. This is 10,000 times better than I thought it would be.

I really thought they would add an obnoxious yelling burping stitch to the room.. but no! They put in a mellow, cute, and hawaiian stitch just chilling out singing some cool songs with some real ambiance!! This show seems to be perfect for doing right before taking the boat to the Polynesian for some Ohana dinner or Luau etc!!

If the entire show is similar to the 30 second original clip shown.. i would see it many times per trip!!! Dinsey has honestly blown me away.. gone is the obnoxious, yelling, grating, screaming birds.. and in comes a nice, mellow, relaxed vibe with some cool hawaiian music.. what ambiance!! And stitch seems so cool in this.. not like the disgraceful version of himself in tomorrowland. Makes me remember why I used to like stitch in the first place!

Anyway, i hope and pray we get this in Disney World.. and I really hope whoever did this ride will be doing the Imagination refurb so they can return Figment to his true self.

LOL, Disneynut2007, I love how you seem to think personal opinion is the same as popular opinion. When you say "most guests" what data are you using to come to that conclusion?

Everytime I go to WDW, UNM is almost completely empty, the only time it has a line is when its raining and people from the Aladdin Magic carpet ride are looking for a place to find cover and wait out the storm. LOL!! Either that or when the park is packed and its just getting overflow from people waiting on their fastpass window for a fantasyland attraction.

The attraction is a total bore and really needs to be changed.

There's still some "non-mellow"ness to the show. Stitch spitting, etc... So it's not all lanai's and lei's. But the Japanese are big into Stitch too. They like the whole "bad boy" stitch. So over there it works. I don't know so much about over here.

Either way, it's probably best to wait to see video of the entire show before passing judgement, and even then... I don't know. We all know some things can be better in person than on video. But some things aren't. Might help to know the translation of what's being said too. I personally could do without more lines like SIR's (or whatever his name is now) "I just oiled myself"... Not that they'd have anything exactly like that, but you get the drift.

I like the current idea of SGE in tomorrowland, but don't like the ride... if that makes any sense.

It makes a ton of sense. The idea of SGE is a great one, it was just executed wrong. As for the Tiki Room Stitch idea, this looks really cute (at least from the 30 sec clip I saw.)! I agree about the ears on the birds, but it doesn't bother me too much.

I will say I'm one of the few on these boards who would miss UNM, as I always thought that was a good concept too. (Once again it just didn't come out the way it should have...)

Sounds good to me! :sohappy: Adam, is "Enchanted Stitch Room," a working name for the US attraction as it stands right now?

I like the new name for Tokyo, The Enchanted Tiki Room: Stitch Presents "Aloha E Komo Mai," although it's a bit long.

The Enchanted Stitch Room is what its been referred to by everyone I've spoken to about it, but its very possible that it won't be the final title. The idea is to keep the Tiki Room part intact (for historical purposes) while incorporating Stitch into the theme, so the Tokyo title may come along with the WDW version of the show.

Iago is Arabian, and Zazu comes from the grasslands of Africa.

That argument is not going to work.

Like I said earlier, Iago and Zazu are not the only birds in the Tiki Room with foreign dialects. I re-itterate: Jose is from Mexico, Michael is from Ireland, Pierre is from France and Fritz is from Germany.

If they can have Spanish, Irish, French and German birds in the Tiki Room, then they can most certainly have Arabian and African birds, too. Parrots and hornbills are equally tropical species of birds anyway.

So what if the Tiki Room has always had characters other than just birds! The birds have always made up the bulk of the show's cast, so the birds actually dominate the place anyway.

Hopefully they know something needs to be done with the show as it is now.

Cut that out!

The show at WDW is just fine as it is and is still popular with the majority of the guests!

Here's a great way they can make stitch work for american audiences and fanboys and fangirls

give wdw's tiki room a nice facelift and full refurb with up to date sounds, lighting, AA's, clean sets, etc, etc

remove SGE and take the the stitch AA and put him in the stitch room (looks like the one in tokyo is the same style AA figure as the one in SGE)

anyway, the we get back our barker bird and original preshow, and even the show starts out the same, we all wake up jose and they do in the tiki tiki tiki blah blah blah tiki room

perhaps one more original number and then the when they want to use the magic fountain it doens't work and we hear all sorts of noises and stitch pops out of nowhere and all the birds are like ?! but they make friends and all the girls on the birdmobile (please don't have them wearing stitch ears) and the tikis and totem poles all sing to say 2 stitch songs with a poly theme, and then the show ends because once again the gods have gotten angry by something and evething ends as it was with "you've heard the flowers sing, etc and high ho"

that way the show is modern technologically, looks great, and is a balance between old and new.

I'm one who was a bit skeptical when I heard the news of Stitch possibly going over to the Tiki Room...however, after seeing the video, I really think it would be a good fit. It can have mild mischeviousness and still have the cute Stitch people know and love. As long as they leave in the song, I'd be perfectly happy with this version, I believe.

That's what I was thinking...I'm just angsting:)lookaroun:lol::D that was for you,Nibbs!) that it's a clone...Why can't they just do a new Tiki show without the inclusion of a Movie Character? The old ones that WDI made up in 1963 ares still there....

Otherwise it looks nice.
