I'm glad that everybody is okay, but you know, this never would have happened if WDW had a proper boat for the finale, instead of that little toy thing. Just try to slip through the railing on the Twain and see what happens...

It wouldn't surprise me terribly if they modded our boat to have something similar, after that.
Honestly, though, good job everyone. That could have ended terribly. I'm sure Dopey and Goof will be taking a few days off after that one. Dopey's fall was nothing to laugh at, and Goof's neck could be experiencing some MAJOR issues...

Good! That was the first thing that came to mind. I watched and worried he would end up in the water.

Poor Goofy too...he didn't know what was coming.

Probably just adding another bar across the bottom of the railing would keep that from happening again - it was pretty wide open. I'm sure they didn't think about a character slipping underneath it like that

I am surprised this didn't happen more often. The visibility out of a lot of those costumes can't be very good so I would think it would be pretty easy to accidently step off the edge like he did.

and cue OSHA with a niew 5' tall solid steel fall abatement barrier... I am glad the performer is ok...has to be sore from the fall... and perhaps if they had made a replica steamboat with a proper railing that would never happen.

Really scary. I am glad the actor in the Dopey costume didn't fall in the water. That would have made it even worse. I am glad to hear that both the actors in the Dopey and Goofy costumes were not badly injured.
