Rest In Peace, my friend.

Movie made by Tramp...and, yes, the old man is in one of those photos.

Thanks, Tramp. Very well done.

Thanks to all the veterans, for everything you've done and will continue to do.

And thanks, dad. You're not here for me to tell you, but even though you never talked about WWII, the bit of shrapnel in your back spoke volumes. I was always proud of the 20 you gave to the Navy.

Where would we be without these great people?

In Flanders' fields, the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders' fields.

Ah yes, I love the music from Band of Brothers. Great video. My dad fought in vietnam, so I'll get a chance to thank him and all of the other veterans who have served.

Thank you for posting that slideshow, Tramp. Seeing the bravery and sacrifice in those faces says more than any number of words can. I missed this thread yesterday, but I echo the sentiments of those here.

A belated thank you from the bottom of my heart to all those who serve. I will always remember and respect those who served...my grandfather in WW2, my father in Vietnam, and my husband, prior service Marine. God bless you all, and God Bless America!

With love and thanks,

Amy
