Unrepresented movies at WDW

Treasure Island. Pinocchio and Alice are not represented well enough for me. But the one thing that is really lacking attraction or ride-wise is the Fab 5! There is nothing dedicated to them as a ride other than Philharmagic but that isn't even dedicated to the Fab 5 but mainly Donald

I Know this is featured more at halloween but some Nightmare before Christmas attraction would be tops for me :)

Although I agree with most of the movies listed here, the first one that popped into my head was bambi for some reason...

Always does with me too. It's still a popular movie 70 years after it was released and I don't know why Walt never implemented it at Disneyland in 1955, or why WDW didn't do it in 1971. I guess it is a little depressing of a movie so this is why it gets left out. Even something at WDW like a Bambi restaurant would be nice (kind of like Pinocchio's Village Haus).

Most of everything else is represented, at least the most popular ones. Pinocchio has a ride at DL, Sleeping Beauty has the castle at DL. I've always felt a dark ride of the Lion King would be epic. And why oh why that they didn't make a great movie like Narnia with a better attraction is beyond me. It isn't too late.

Sleeping Beauty. It deserves an awesome dark ride IMO. It's probably my favorite Disney princess movie and has very gorgeous animation and some cool characters. Shame that Aurora is mostly tossed aside. She's definitely the prettiest of the princesses imo as well.

I couldn't agree more. It is a shame this has not yet gotten a classic dark ride, and would be the perfect replacment for SWSA once one is needed. And actually, WDW was originally supposed to get this instead of SWSA. Just thinking about the scene with Malificient as a dragon gives me chills...

I will once again make a pitch for a dark ride that could give "face time" to a number of different movies. Similar to GMR, but only using Disney animated films. Scenes and songs could be used from a number of movies, Lion King, Beauty & the Beast, Alladin, Hercules, etc. Unfortunately, I think this is basically what they are doing in the new Little Mermaid ride, but only using the scenes and songs from that movie.

There has been some talk here about the Great Movie Ride getting a Disney makeover. I think your idea would be perfect for that.

One movie that has been tragically neglected at the parks is Mary Poppins. It was a monster hit in its day, and is regarded as Walt's live-action masterpiece. But there's hardly a hint of it at the parks, which is very weird. True, it now has its own float in the new Soundsational parade - that's more like it - but I really think it merits a dark ride at least.

Which movie(s) would you put into the parks more and how?

Tron has soooo much potential for a great E ticket ride for Epcot or even DHS... The grid, the light cycles, and all of those vehicles can make such a good thrill ride

That's a really good idea. Only thing is that a couple of the movies you mentioned are too good to be one or two scenes in a ride. Beauty and the Beast, for example, would make an excellent trackless dark ride in itself. I mean, they could do both. Indiana Jones has representation in GMR and then its own show, so.

It would be pretty cool to have a ride at DHS that covers classic short films. Oswald, a few Mickey scenes, some Donald. I'd personally love a Tron ride for DHS, but I know it's not going to happen. XD

Other than that, I'd prefer some original content. I don't want every park attraction to be based on a movie. Kinda like how I don't want every movie to be based on a park attraction, but I digress.

What about Tarzan? I always thought a rollercoaster type ride through the jungle trees following Tarzan would make a great ride.

Just so long as they don't turn Swiss Family Treehouse into Tarzan's Treehouse like they did at Disneyland. :brick:

TRON. Oh my God Tron. Please. Gimme some Tron.

Roger Rabbit! Such a fun movie, and didn't DL get a super-sweet Roger ride (in their awesome ToonTown)? Bring that ish over to DHS, lord knows they need it! It'd be a damn good fit with the old timey Hollywood theme.

I think Splash Mountain proves that a movie doesn't have to be popular, successful or even... remembered to make for an awesome attraction! The Black Cauldron, The Black Hole, Return to Oz... I'd love to see some old weird stuff get mined for new attractions/rides.

I agree though, original attractions definitely need to keep coming too. The movie stuff is great, but the original stuff might actually be better (Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, ORIGINAL Imagination, etc.).
