Unrepresented movies at WDW

The Lion King needs some more representation over at Animal Kingdom. I can picture an entire mini-land based on this movie or The Jungle Book or Tarzan.

Also Hercules would fit in perfectly in Epcot over at World Showcase if there ever were to be a Greek pavillion.

Its not the most popular film in the Disney catalog, but a Bed-knobs and Broomsticks dark ride would have potential imo. The ride car would be shaped like a bed and the ride could be the scenes where the armor comes alive and fights off the generic evil soldiers in a comical way (Can't really put Nazis into a Disney ride, but generic evil soldiers would be acceptable I think).

You mentioned that which shall not be named sir.....:lookaroun
I thought that which shall not be named would be a land called The Dark Magic World of Lord Voldermort?

Still waiting for the Vincent Vega Adventure coaster from Pulp Fiction :lol:
I will strongly campaign for this only if the gift shop at the end of the ride sold Jules Winnfield Wallets and has a meet and greet outside with the Gimp.

The problem is, as much as all these movies are great what could they do special with them to make them a ride. Pinnochio, Bambi, 101 and Roger Rabbit. All great films, but what can you really do with them to make a relevant attraction to the park?
For that reason I think Hercules, Tron and potentially Sleeping Beauty are the ones I want to see in the parks. Lion King has enough in my opinion and the other films not represented should be pushed in meet and greets as much as possible. Although the GMR idea is great!

Mary Poppins. And Aladdin needs a real attraction, and not just a spinny ride like Magic Carpets at MK.

Escaping the Cave of Wonders on a magic carpet-inspired ride system would make for a hell of an E-ticket in Adventureland. Would be a pretty rad looking "weenie" too. Just saying.

Well, Roger Rabbit's and Pinocchio's rides are already built in DL! Granted at this stage in the game WDW will probably not be getting clones of these, but man it would have been cool!

Bambi I'm not so sure about, but 101 Dalmations could probably get something going where you're trying to escape Cruella deVil and her red hot hot rod.

Ok - so we all talk about an EPCOT expansion needed well here is a chance:

1) Expand Mulan in China - my girls love Mulan and were so excited to meet her last time we were done.
2) Mary Poppins Experience in England
3) Change the Seas with Nemo to Atlantis (I love that movie) with much more oceanography and science to the pavilion.
4) Change WOL to a TRON - WOM/Horizons hybrid about the future
5) Morroco would not do it but would love an Aladin stunt show here - more of a medina.

Now onto AK

1) Tarzan section in the jungle walk
2) Bring Pocohontas back - miss her
3) Add another water ride to bring Atlantis here (If there was a fantasy land/Beastly Kingdom addition there could be a lot of the movies represented like Hercules :lookaroun Just saying - even Fairies here?

HS
1) OP have said it all - but this is were Oliver & CO belong - in the NYC scenes.
2) Pixar Place - nuff said:shrug:
3) Love the idea of a new GMR with classic Disney characters
4) Why oh why didn't they move the Toontown houses here???:brick:

Sleeping Beauty does need to be represented and so do the Fairies. I know people will wan to shoot me but :lookaroun JII could be a great place for the fairies where the second floor could be a M&G and also a place to explore your own abilitities, bring back the rainbow tunnel where we can get shrunk and then brought into Pixie Hollow. It could almost be like a really good Science museum where kids could build, plant, paint etc

I mentioned this awhile back in another thread, but I would love for a restaurant based off of the cartoon House of Mouse.

They could have classic Disney cartoons on loop with subtle touches to all of the different classics around the place. Like Chip and Dale on a chandelier, silhouette of Lady and the Tramp in a window eating spaghetti, the floating table from Mary Poppins, and plenty of other references everywhere. Lifesize props like Robin Hood's bow and arrow or Mulan's sword. Kind of like a Planet Hollywood of sorts I guess. It'd be a great opportunity to have some of the more obscure characters to walk around for photos and autographs. Maybe even have the colors change over time like the Animator's Palate on the cruise ships.

Sure, I'd love for a ride representing all of the animated classics in some way or form (which is why I'm kind of in favor of the characters in IASW), but references like these would quench my thirst for their presence just a bit.

Meet the Robinsons, definitely. I'm not even saying it has to get a ride or a show, but talk about unrepresented at the parks--you can't even get a pin from this movie now!

SO after 8 trips to WDW i've noticed so many movies unrepresented at the parks, which movies/characters do you think should be more represented in the parks and why?

I believe the Great Mouse Detective and Tron deserves more attention in the parks...

I definitely agree with Great Mouse Detective!

The Emporer's New Groove

and they should have a Meet the Robinsons attraction in Tomorrowland

Yeah, Wall-E is about the only character I can think of that would be a really good fit for Epcot. Maybe a revamped Universe of Energy focusing on alternate/green/renewable fuel sources?
