Unpopular Disney Opinions

Think for yourselfer
I can't tell who is serious, and who isn't.

for example...

MM/NextGen/Fastpass+ is a fantastic effort that adds an exciting layer of tech over WDW. Walt would do this, instead of Potter II

Small World is awesome with a fantastic song

The Studios is a gorgeous park with a great attraction roster

The classic bits of Fantasyland look much better than the new FL parts

Puss Lightyear is a waste of space

The Junkie Sparrow overlay has ruined Pirates

Living with the Land is The Land's E-ticket, Soarin' a great C/D

MK is prettier than DL which is prettier than DLP

Which of these are serious opinions????

Small world IS awesome. And the song is beyond fantastic.

But the MK is NOT prettier then DL.

I am sooooo confuzzeled.

My Epcot opinions:

Illuminations is my least favorite night show.

I like the new Grand Fiesta Tour with the Three Caballeros.

Ellen's Energy Adventure is a must do (even if you dose off while riding).

For what its worth, Living with the Land > Soarin.

I don't get the fuss over Imagination/Figment/Dreamfinder.

I like the new Test Track.

All of them are serious. :)

In the case of the MK being prettier than DL, I mean that as the MK by default, in its DNA, its classic design. Currently, yes, DL feels more like a labour of love, whereas the MK is neglected and exploited for every last penny, commercialised and toonified.
But then, so has been and is DL, from Tomorrowland that never recovered from the 90s cheapineering to the present baffling assault on New Orleans Square. (The hardcore fans love it so much, they want to have it destroyed so they can have a private hangout? To admire..what once was? Disney feels like those charming European towns where an ambitious slash corrupt mayor destroys half the mediaeval center for huge glass and steel hotel and parking structures, only to then wonder why the tourists no longer show up now that he's build the necessary infrastructure for them)

Strangely, the park I initially liked less of the three, DLP, is gaining stock with me because, owing to its difficult financial situation, it has escaped nearly all toonification and commercialisation that has plagued DL and the MK. With their current surge in upkeep DLP is emerging like a Sleeping Beauty, unspoiled, unravaged by the poor creative direction of the American parks in the last two decades. Which is part of the reason why I think not underinvestment, but misdirection is the main problem of WDW.

Little Mermaid ride is boring.
Dole Whips are blah.
I use my IPad mini to take pictures in the parks.
Strollers should be banned from all stores and restaurants in the parks.
Love COP.
Could ride Dinosaur over and over
Guests that stay offsite have just as good of an experience as onsite guests.
Never walked through the Morocco pavillion in Epcot.
Dislike the Magic Band system. Too much scheduling .
Love it when a ride stops or breaks down while on it.
Love Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor.

I think AK is an all day park- we always find a way to spend an entire day there!
My favorite ride is IASW.
I find PP to be really overrated and I will never go on the ride without a FP.
I really enjoyed using FP+ (other than the kiosks for FP+ 4 and above...)

I have more and I'll get people mad...lol

- If your focus is to spend most of your day at the park...paying for an expensive resort is plain simply stupid unless there are major discounts that allow you to stay there for the cost of a lower tiered resort. If you want to chill by the pool, golf or go to a spa...there are much better resorts and at cheaper prices to go to that are not at Disney.
- Just because you stay in a Deluxe resort it doesn't make you better than me. I just choose to use my value resort as it should: a bed to sleep and a pool to swim in, nothing more than that.
- Taking babies to WDW is also stupid...they won't remember jack and it takes away from the couple being able to ride together because one needs to stay with the baby. If there is an older brother or sister, that's different but on the fence for me.

Giving this a shot…

-I don’t mind the SSE descent. Not as good a previous incarnations, but I kind of like the interactive cartoon.
-Tangled is better than Frozen.
-Pooh is the best ride in Fantasyland. (Disclaimer…haven’t been on 7DMT yet)
-Infants get more enjoyment out of Disney World than most adults and teenagers I see in the parks.
-No one should be required to wear formal wear in Orlando in Summer. I don’t care how fancy the restaurant is.
-I don’t hate the Small World Song. It takes skill to craft an ear worm like that.
-Face characters freak me out.
-I believe in the Disney bubble and think staying on site with no car adds value.
-If you know how to use them, the Disney busses aren’t all that bad.
-I’m excited for Avatarland and think it will be a good addition to AK.
-AK is the best themed park in the united states.
-I prefer the open pathways of MK to the more crowded feel of Disneyland (Disclaimer: I do suffer from claustrophobia).
- I don’t miss Wonders of Life or any attraction that was contained within.
- (someone already said this but reiterating) Peoplemover is the best ride in Tomorrowland.
- I like DVC.
-World Showcase is fun for kids.
-When it comes to theme parks, style is sometimes more important than substance.

This depends on a lot of factors to me. If there is an older sibling I can understand. If the baby is truly a baby....such as cannot even support it's own head etc......and there are not older siblings, then I don't understand bringing an infant.

We took our sons at 15 mos old (twins). No older siblings. They are 9 now and while it is true that they do not remember a thing about that trip, the memories my dw and I have cannot be beat. I always say it was the best trip there we had. Yes we had to go their speed and there were meltdowns but I would never trade those memories away. Now that they are older, we do truly enjoy the parks more.
