Without giving away anything in terms of story... this should help with the layout of the ride

You enter the tomb slowly and see the first scene as you move by. You continue slowly to the next room, stop for a few seconds and the second scene unfolds (this is the photo of the Mummies from the NYT). You then progress slowly to the next room. You stop and the third scene takes place. Then you launch into the first of two coaster sections. You then stop...the fourth scene takes place and you are launched again into the second portion of the coaster.

Very little can be seen about what the coaster part will entail from that video. It looks fast...no inversions as determined a while ago. From the video..it reminds me of RnRC...zooming through the dark with the occasional props lighting up...but I've been under the impression a lot of it will be projected images rather than props...but honestly I don't know.

Cool. That helped a lot. Thanks!! So how much did the video leave out? Is the full ride really only 2 and half minutes long?

I've heard elsewhere it is about 4 minutes long..give or take 10 seconds. The video is probably missing a little over a 1 minute. The video doesn't start at the loading station..so that's a few seconds and the backwards portion seemed to be missing...so there's some time. I also imagine some of the ride scenes will take longer than the video shows...one in particular seems to go by too fast....the video is probably just to get the point across of what it will look like...but time-wise is probably not accurate..however it apparently does cover everything that will be seen in the ride.

I finally saw the UO TV commercial that has the short clip from the Mummy..its really nothing and probably not even from the ride...it shows some people screaming and holding onto one another and then a relatively stiff Mummy pops out...all in a few seconds. I was disappointed just because I thought the whole commercial was more centered around the Mummy ride...that's my own fault for not understanding though and not the fault of Universal or the commercial. I probably would have been more ecstatic if I didn't know such a commercial was out there

So, care to share any of your secrets? Or perhaps you could say whether or not you think the ride will be a lot more incredible than the CG video shows?

From what I know, the video lacks the backwards sequence after the scarab scene and it lacks the jumping Mummy warrior. Other than that...beyond the order and/or set-up of scenes....it seemed like the video covered all the major scenes I've heard of. Of course, it is still not known for sure if the "fake ending" really is just the old "ride is done...no its not" trick done before in Jaws.

Is there anything you would like to tell us? Just be sure to say "Spoilers ahead" if you decide to post anything new.

Alright then I'll leave the secrets out,

Yes I do belive people will be surprised to find out that the CGI Version only shows half of it. So when they ride it, they will be really shocked.

Pehaps you could drop me a line through e-mail?

I've just recently heard too that the CG clip up on the net is a "spliced" version of the actual ride clip. Over 1 minute is missing...of what...I don't know, but I'm pretty sure it is somewhere between the scarab scene and the "false ending".

I posted the location of the CG video ride-through just one page back in this same thread. Its no secret  I even provided a narrative of the whole video for those who want to know what's in it but really don't want to "see" it. Due to the fact that I imagine Universal doesn't want this out on the internet and to protect "our" site, I suggested people try to find the site on their own, but I can tell you its where a lot of "universal-excitement" is. ;)

If you still have trouble finding it, let me know ;)
