The OLC -- held up by many here as the anti-Disney because of their professionalism -- is going to take 3 years to re-do their Space Mountain.

Yes, from demolition to an entire new rollercoaster ride system and building...on an island of a cramped theme park resort that just opened up an entire land and expansion of their other active theme park. I don't think it really compared to Tron taking five years.

Epic Universe also features all new ride tech and is a resort expansion including transportation infrastructure. Some of it opening as early as January 2025 and is coming as Universal has resources also building new attractions and venues for their existing theme parks.

Thanks for the reply……

I wanted to ask because of what happened to ET and Mummy with Hollywood vs Orlando’s versions, especially those Mummies——there is a dramatic difference among the 2 rides.
Nothing that significantly different to that level.

Hoping at one point the plan to improve Mario's heads are was going to happen. It still might.

Kind of weird difference. I wonder what influenced such a decision. Especially when, if one wants to accurately simulate a sizeable waterfall, you kinda need both water & mist.
ONe of the videos in this thread explains it, but basically it comes down to area available. They have more in florida available to create the waterfall

How long did it take to build Tron ride at Disney World?
The attraction, which took over five years to construct, is based on the popular TRON movie franchise and is located in Tomorrowland.
Universal Epic Universe is an upcoming theme park under construction in Orlando, Florida. Announced in August 2019, the park will be the fourth theme park at Universal Orlando, including the themed water park Volcano Bay. Construction was delayed in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic but resumed in March 2021. The park is scheduled to open in Summer 2025.

So is that 4 years for a theme park?
Disney is an absolute joke in comparison. I really hope this new park destroys Disney's profits.

It looks like each land/portal will have a logo or icon associated with them. You can see the dragon and hand holding a wand in the latest batch of photos. What will Mario and the monsters have?
