2025 is coincidently the 35th anniversary of Universal Orlando, not that they usually make a deal of anniversaries.
If you want the park open for summer, it makes sense to open it before summer begins. I can't speak on the Disney part.

I wouldn't take what Universal is saying seriously, they are probably just saying "it'll be ready for summer, so start planning." but in reality, they hope to get it open before Memorial weekend.
The only thing I could see pushing the opening back is if there are any delays with road infrastructure.
While summer has become less popular in Orlando to visit, it's still busy. Late April-May up to Memorial weekend is now the least crowded days to visit, so it's optimal for opening a new park.

I remember part of the announcement was no later than the summer of 2025
I think the internal goal is more trustworthy at this point in time (until they give us a reason to think otherwise.) Marketing saying "Summer" is basically just a safety net that can't leave anyone disappointed, even if they fail to meet their goal badly enough that it opens halfway through the summer. In other words, expect summer but don't be surprised by an earlier opening.

The info about Helios and Express Pass was great. It was a bit annoying that they kept hinting at the patreon show having better information, but the fact that they tell us anything for free is cause for thanks. So excited for this park and grateful for all who report on it.
The entire Internet is going to be locked behind various paywalls eventually. You'll have to pay for access to each individual website, the same way you have to subscribe to countless streaming services instead of just watching cable.

I took it as a reminder that their pay site is there is you want more info or info sooner than the podcast. I also could see that keeping up with what you are talking about on which platforms could get confusing after a while! I like how they present info and appreciate they cover multiple platforms with some still being free!
