Uni's New Plan For Potter Could Make Significant Dent To WDW

No chance. He didn't just burn the bridge, he carpet-bombed the city.

I don't think there's anyone within the Disney Company who'd like to see him back. They've been much more successful since he left.

Not necessarily saying I want him back either. From what I've read elsewhere his return would cause a lot of people to quit the company. Just curious more than anything if he would be the type to stage his own return coup.

Yeah isn't that what we want?

but we would lose some very creative minds like Lassetter. Because in Eisner's mind (as he showed when he was in charge). He is the end-all authority on all things creative. It made for a very hostile environment to nuture other creative minds...if Eisner hasn't been so arrogent about it, we probably wouldn't have had Pixar and we most certainly wouldn't have Dreamworks.

Disney doesn't own Dreamworks, just a distribution deal to distribute some of its films.

i think he is talking about if eisner hadn't been how he had been then katzenburg would not have left to start dreamworks.

Correct. If Katzenburg hadn't been alienated and cutoff from being an important decision maker at Disney, he probably wouldn't have left and created Dreamworks with Spielberg and Geffen.

While I don't love Iger's Disney, I'll take it over the last few years of Eisner any day! I don't care how much he loved the parks, he was running the company into the ground!

If Eisner was still there, Star Tours would never have been updated either because him and Lucas refused to work together (from what I understand)

I'll state that RoE is one of my all-time faves, yet I am still grown-up enough to realize it's time has come and stayed ... and overstayed ... and is still overstaying ...

Yup. Upgrades were being worked on after hours last night. Better (and brighter) lighting on the pavilions, new fireworks and a few other elements we added. Looks like it will be around for a while longer. :animwink:

Spider-Man hasn't been updated yet. Yes, a brand new HD film looks better than something from 1999.

That's what I thought too. But it appears something has been done to the first 3 screens as my friend and I confirmed independently that they looked better and a ride operator did say that the first three had been updated.
