In that sense, the upstairs playground holds true to the meaning of the pavilion since we can imagine just how awesome it is up there without being exposed to the drab reality of modern imagination pavilion crapulence.

Pavilion was closed tonight by 8pm. Were heading that way to look at the nice fountain and jumping water all lit up. CM came running over to say whole area was closed. Plenty of people drinking in World Showcase though. Saw a group get tossed from Rose and Crown Pub. Sigh.

so after hollywood studios, is epcot being redone? i know itll be a while but what epcot is compared to what it could be makes me very sad.

This is an old rumor and not valid at this point since it didn't happen. To answer your question though, some things may be done to the park but I wouldn't expect much in the near future.

I don't think there's any official word, but my personal belief is that's it's inevitable in the long wrong, particularly with Imagination and UOE. Moreso Imagination. Disney has acknowledged on multiple occasions it needs help, and is clearly aware of it. It's really just a matter of time. The rest of the park is harder to say, as relatively speaking it needs it a lot less than AK, DHS, and parts of the MK do.

Remember when there was a "mystery project" semi-mentioned for Epcot and the guy who would be in charge of it was a film guy? The theory was a possible replacement for Captain Eo. Is that even possible? Even if they don't want to re-so the Imagination ride, putting Captain Eo finally to rest would make sense and be relatively easy/cheap.

Rees himself said he was working on a project for the park set to open in 2015. You'd think there would be an announcement by now for anything for next year.
