It definitely works because I know of a few people who call TT "the Chevy ride", living with the land "the chaquita ride", etc.( a big pet peeve of mine :p) People just begin to associate the good time they had with the company which is a lot easier to remember than a specific ride name.

I have been following Disney for a long time and frankly, this is the very first time I have ever seen any reference to it being referred to as the Chevy Ride. Or living with the land... Chaquita? Guess there is a first for everything.

You just made dozens of people read the word "Vizio".
While perhaps not in the way they anticipated your actions have demonstrated exactly why corporations sponsor events and broadcasts.
I know that. I understand why they do it and how it works. It's just a pet peeve of mine. It takes away from the grandeur of things.

Frozen is where the money is. That will come to Epcot well before an Imagination redo.
The Frozen Princesses need to move into Akershus. There are reservations available for that restaurant and adding the Frozen Princesses will "solve" that. There should be a restaurant at the studios that will allow for the most popular new characters to be there for character dining. It should be day and date with the new movies. Hollywood and Vine has a great food selection but it doesn't have Doc McStuffins or Sophia the 1st there yet, getting more people into $35-45 meals to meat characters will be a better approach to raising guest spending than Next Gen.

Yes. No one is debating it's necessary.

The issue is paying for it and not impacting the current mandated profit margins.
This is the type of fuzzy logic that really irks me. It must be paid for, or it will have a negative impact on future margins. They need to man up to the problems that caused this in the first place, reprimand or fire the people responsible, and take responsibility and cover the cost, even if it's at the expensive of short-term gains. If they don't, the damage will be worse in the long term. If they really care about the company, they should be more worried about long-term fall-out than what the goons on Wall Street want in the interim!

Wearing my Curmudgeon hat I'd guess whatever one was cheapest...
They need to acquire James Cameron's Light Storm production company, with the condition that Cameron come with the deal. Then, make Cameron in charge of WDI (as well as other responsibilities) as an executive Vice President of Disney Enterprises. That would guarantee big budgets for all WDI projects that would have guaranteed popularity! Just imagine what he would do with Living Seas, Space....

You don't, Meet-n-Grope is the term on Spirit's AKA @WDW1974 threads for a meet and greet,

I personally feel it's more accurate. I'm always careful NOT to touch CM's just to give them a break, being a photographer I know where to position myself to appear to be touching but in reality not.
I'm feeling all yucky after reading that....

This is a quarterly company that expects drug dealer profits and record gains with every reporting cycle.

They do not care about consequences, repercussions, negative fallout or responsibility rather they want their profits and they do not care about anything else.

If Roy Disney was alive, he'd be furious and make a lot of noise. Today, there are others who would be furious, but they are not making noise. That doesn't mean that they will let this stand. Like minded people will be installed to the BOD at each opportunity.

Change takes time.

We all thought Iger was someone to usher in those old Disney values. Boy, were we wrong.

Maybe I'm just naïve, but I'll never understand why anyone with more money than anyone could possibly dream of would only make it their life's pursuit just to make even more when a lot of it could go to something greater than one's self either creatively or elsewhere. *insert Marge's speech from Fargo here*

I didn't really know what to expect from Iger back almost 10 years ago. My main fear is whoever replaces him in a few years could be worse (you never know). Now that Roy is gone who will fight for the company now?

That's the difference between beancounters & creative people.
