Wow....what is more shocking is that the child wasn't noticed for 45 minutes....makes you really think about how easy it is to breed yet still not gain parent status....

Plus they didn't think that the stroller they were pushing around just happended to have a little person in it! Good grief, what does this say about our world!

You know, I get funny looks like I'm some sort of crazy kook for suggesting people should have to be licensed before they have children. I think I'll just print out a copy of this article and save it for future use as proof as to why the ability to breed does not mean you are a fit parent.

This is crazy! I mean hello you don't happen to look over at your 3 year old and think is she enjoying this ride or is it too dark and scary for her. Come on, this is crazy! I'm so thankful the child is okay.:fork:

In Chattanooga, earlier this summer a man dropped 2 of his kids off at school, and left a toddler in the car seat instead of taking him to daycare, while he went to work at a business he and his wife ran. He forgot to drop the baby off, he said, because he and his wife both shared that responsibilty. The car was parked in front of his business and 3 times during the day, the sensory alarm went off, indicating motion in the car. He turned the alarm off each time from inside the building, and that afternoon, the child was found in the car dead. What a sad, sad thing to happen.

Then a few weeks ago, at a local Cracker Barrel, a couple was inside eating with the womans young son. A waitress noticed the man leave the restaurant with the boy and return to finish his meal without the child. Employees got suspicious and called police. The boy was found tied up in the car with the windows rolled up. This was in the middle of the day, with temperatures in the low 90's outside. Thank God, the boy was rescued.

Wow...this reminds me of a saying I'm very well known for at work...

Stupid People Shouldn't Breed.

'Nuff said

My thoughts exactly.

Tie her tubes - relieve him of his gear.

I don't want people like this in the gene pool with the rest of us.

I say the parents should have to sit in strollers, in the sun, at Disney for the entire day holding signs that say "we are the idiots that left our baby in the sun so we could enjoy the ride"!!!:fork:

The headline on the newscasts is who Paris Hilton is going to do her interview with when she gets out of jail. It's stories like this poor child that need media attention. Nothing will ever stop the spoiled rich airheaded heiresses of the world, but maybe some increased awareness can save at least one small child from this kind of neglect. Maybe there is a little hope for them, right?

This is horrible! Who the f*** would leave their child in stroller in the blazing hot sun at DISNEY WORLD?! That is just HORRIBLE! And they say they left the child ACCIDENTALLY?! That's a bunch of bull! Who in the right mind would "accidentally" leave their toddler in a stroller and walk on the ride without a single thought about their child? BULL! BULL BULL BULL!

Sorry. This just angers me too much to describe. ><

You guys are all so insensitive. Obviously this sort of thing can happen. Have you fools not seen Home Alone 1-3? It's happened at least three times in the history of the world. And that's only counting the times it's been documented on film. Who knows how many other times it's happened. The lesson we should actually learn here is that if done right, it's not so bad at all and can actually be quite comedic. These people probably just expected their stroller-using child to be more self-sufficient and hilarious.

Joking aside, this is terrible. I agree with most of what's been said here.

Except this. Neither of these stories deserve media coverage. Leaving your child outside an attraction while using it is reprehensible, but covering it more on the news isn't going to change how idiots behave. Human interest stories like these are not news, just like celebrity gossip is not the news. Unfortunately, terrible things like this happen all the time; that does not make them newsworthy. The media reports things like this only to strike a cord with the public and increases their viewers. The same reason they play the Paris Hilton bits, and the same reason a missing woman becomes big news despite the fact that it happens all the time--they have some marketable aspect that will give news stations ratings.

That's another reason I hate watching TV news. That's not news! That's what Entertainment Tonight is for. If they actually put newsworthy events on the news, I think too many people would get depressed how much bad stuff goes on not only in the world but in their own backyard. But putting this poor child on the news probably wouldn't help; too many people have the "it won't happen to me" syndrome.

FIRST AND ONLY time I will say this. I hope they find Disney at fault ONLY because having mist sprayers outside of Pirates to create an etherial fog would be outstanding.

Seriously, though, these acts are beyond me. While still reprehensible, forgetting a child during a mundane daily activity is terrible. But, I do not understand how one can forget a member of their party so young at DISNEY WORLD. Furthermore, since the Child is three, it's very lucky that she did not get up and wander off. That could have been even more dangerous had she gotten into somewhere she didn't belong.

I am glad when this gets attention because it may speak to one small percent of idiot parents. And, when it does, that is at least a few children that won't be hurt.

This is horrible. I have a 4 yr old and a 3 yr old and I could never imagine leaving them..anywhere...let alone a open stroller in the hot Florida sun. When we go to Disney, and one of my children falls asleep, either my husband or I sit out with them (in a shady spot)...while the other rides with my awake child. We also utilize the child swap pass, or just don't ride. As a parent, your children are your top priority...and no ride is worth their safety.
