Someone mentioned in one of the threads about TTA being shut down with SM. Does anyone know or have any other information regarding a TTA refurb?

hmmm.... well you would assume TTA will be shutdown as I don't think it would be safe to have TTA going through a building under construction.

Good question though... i wonder if they will bother doing anything to TTA as well.

In a way i hope not... i love it the way it is :D

In 1991 I went with the TTA during a SM refurb, it was functioning normally and I got some interesting video footage of the lighted interior of SM. But perhaps this time it is different as they are exchanging the entire tracks.

I think the TTA will be shut down for the SM rehab, if the rehab is extensive as they say it's going to be. The People Mover, sorry, Tomorrowlad Transit Authority needs some work anyway. When I was there in April we stopped about 7 times, then they finally evacuated us. We walked down a hallway, then down a flight of stairs (we were all given fastpasses that were good for any attraction in MK, we used ours on Peter Pan, my wife's favorite ride in MK), on the way down I remarked to a CM that the TTA never broke down on any of my many trips on it. He said it breaks down almost everyday, and it could really use some work. So hopefully they will shut it down during the SM refurb, and give the TTA, some TLC :)

If they do need to shut it down sometime during the SM refurb, then it likely won't be down for long, as they will try and keep that attraction running as much as possible.

TTA WILL NOT be operating during the S.M. refurb of early 09. This refurb will last appox 18 months.
It HAS NOT been published yet to the public, But it WILL SOON!:zipit:

Looks like they could temporarilly alter the route of the TTA during the SM refurb wihout a super amount of trouble. Just consider it part of the project.

That way die hard SM fans will still have an attraction to ride during the long refurb of SM since Goofy's Barn Stormer won't be able to hold them all.

Won't happen. They learned from that mistake.

Do you really think so? I mean seriously ... I love TTA more than one should and would hate to see it go, it's just that Disney doesn't strike me as a company that learns from its mistakes.

I really want to be wrong - I love TTA!

I really do. They received so much backlash after the removal at DL. Plus, the fact that Disney was looking at reinstalling it at DL (only to find that Rocket Rods had damaged the supports worse than they thought). I really don't think we have anything to worry about.

From your lips to God's ears - that's good solid logic and I want it to be true!!
