I still think CR will stay VQ for the same reason Tron needed to get off VQ badly. MK does does have well allocated free flowing capacity in the thoroughfares and does not have a lot of high upcharge and low barrier to entry food and bev/merch, while EPCOT would prefer you spend $50 on food and bev you otherwise would bypass if waiting in the CR standby.
TEA numbers are based off "first click". If you take Cosmic Rewind off Virtual Queue, EPCOT's attendance drops.

Would it though? No VQ I’m enticed to rope drop. On VQ I’m getting my estimated time and even if it’s 10a est window open I’m rope dropping HS and then coming over for my Cosmic time.

7am drop closed at 7:22am, lasting for 1320.274 secs, or ~22 mins.
Thursday 7am Drop Average: 6m -> 6m (+0)

BG's 1-14 called at 8:45am as part of the initial wave.

VQ is really nice from an ops stand-point. No surge of demand, nicely distributed through the day. It allows very easy control of labor costs.
How much different can the labor costs be if the ride is operating at full capacity on VQ + ILL vs. standby + ILL, though?

Right now, there are a bunch of cast members hanging out by the touchpoints to help people with VQ. Without VQ, wouldn't those cast members just be handling crowd control for the standby line instead?
