Tron has a decently long queue, but spillover into the walkway is miserable in the heat. Good, they're removing it now that the weather is trending towards cooler (for Orlando).

The Guardians queue is far shorter, and Individual Lightning Lanes aren't sufficiently abundant to spike the wait enough to discourage people from riding.

That's probably the biggest benefit... confirmed night rides without paying for LLs...

This also has the potential to see significant number of guests to self select into biasing their days at MK later and change the makeup of park egress hour by hour, which will improve the park experience for just about everyone.

I still think CR will stay VQ for the same reason Tron needed to get off VQ badly. MK does does have well allocated free flowing capacity in the thoroughfares and does not have a lot of high upcharge and low barrier to entry food and bev/merch, while EPCOT would prefer you spend $50 on food and bev you otherwise would bypass if waiting in the CR standby.

Ops would usually start calling BG's right at the start of early entry, or like ~10-15 mins in, so the ride was already running during it. Same with GOTG at Epcot.

Would be weird now to change that and/or delay the start time.

Plus, the dynamics of guests choosing 7DMT vs Tron vs Peter Pan during early entry will be interesting.

Yep, although as it stands now, it is not officially part of early entry.

VQ is really nice from an ops stand-point. No surge of demand, nicely distributed through the day. It allows very easy control of labor costs.

Feels like they want to wait for Test Track to reopen so that the crowds in that area are a bit more distributed than just everyone flocking to one ride.
