Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
This is just one of the risks that park guests should be able to make or determine for standby... As they do for quite literally any ride ever. If they don't want to risk it, pay for the lightning lane. Test Track shuts down when you fart in its general direction and consistently has waits of up to 90 to 120 minutes on busy days...I think the number one feature of the boarding group system is to avoid a really stinky pain point in operations: the ride shuts down for an indefinite delay when the guest is 2 hours into a 2.25 hour wait time.
I chose standby for Rise about 3 times and did just fine.(and frankly, Rise should probably still be on it).
You know what you're supposed to do if a ride breaks down? Either leave the queue, or wait in the queue for it to reopen. I've done that several times. I believe guests don't feel as ripped off of their park tickets if a ride breaks down, as opposed to "No. You can't get in at all because you didn't click this button in 1.009 seconds. No refunds. HAHA"
