Have yet to see any posts about this so I thought I'd share some pics from last night. They were testing a new lighting package on the side of Tomorrowland Light and Power Co! The colors were changing somewhat infrequently, but they also tested a darker blue and a neon green in place of the orange half.

Apologies for my low-quality phone camera!

Here's a photo of the other color duo from last night -

A Virtual Queue and Individual Lightning Lane has been announced for TRON.

Details on the new locker system (inside the queue) -

"New to TRON Lightcycle / Run, a double-sided and digitized locker system will be used to store bags and loose items while you race your Lightcycle. Inside the attraction queue, these complimentary lockers pair directly with your MagicBand, MagicBand+ or ticket media so you can easily lock and reopen your locker with a quick tap. Guests without a MagicBand or other ticket media (such as a card) will be provided with a card to assign their locker. All items must be placed either in a locker before you board your Lightcycle, or in a small compartment located on the attraction vehicle that can hold items such as cellphones, glasses or wallets."

If lockers are complimentary, i don’t think the pouches will last very long. capacity could get hairy if ops has to check if you still have large items on out when boarding + you have placed them in the pouch.

I'm glad they took a cue from the locker system at Universal's Islands of Adventure, and installed a "double-sided" locker system like the Velocicoaster has.

(For those who haven't seen double-sided lockers, in order to eliminate the usual bottleneck of guests dropping off and picking up at the same sets of lockers, the banks of lockers go the whole way through the wall, with a locking access door on each end. You put things in one side of the locker on your way through the queue to the boarding area, and when you exit, you find yourself on the other side of the wall, and unlock and pull your items out from the other end, so that the traffic through the locker areas is "one way" both in the queue and when you exit.) It's pretty brilliant.

I'm confused...doesn't it say the lockers are double sided? or is what they are doing not what you are describing? I haven't been on Velocicoaster as yet unfortunately.

What they are doing for Tron is exactly what Uni does for Velocicoaster. The poster was complimenting Disney for using the same system since it works well.
Ah yes I see that now...when I originally read the post the end said that it was disappointing Disney hadn't picked up on that...Weird! I agree that this is would be a great system to use can't wait to see it in actual use.
