Interesting that he said 2000 ft, since there are flight restrictions if you are flying below 3000 ft in this area, and it doesn't look like he was taking the picture from outside of the restricted area.
The zones were modified last week so maybe he was pointing out that fact. I am not an aviator so I don't keep up on the zones but there was a change noted and Bio is very mecuricial so I am sure he is not posting for his own enjoyment about the flight limits.

With permission and a flight plan, you are able to fly in the no-fly zone. Don't know if that is what happened here.

I couldn't Google any information on this and the NOTAM hasn't changed. Do you have a source?

Checking the current TFR NOTAM I do not see any change to it, still showing an issue date of October 27, 2014. Still is also listed as surface to 3000ft. Now there are ways to fly through it, you really just need to be on a IFR flight plan and get vectored by an air traffic controller through it. Runway 15 at Kissimmee Gateway would allow a path in/over the TFR. So if you are on the ILS for runway 15 you would be at 2000ft just east that area at the first waypoint. Go go a bit west (1.25 miles) but not too far off course and I am sure you could be close to that point.

Yes, but we rarely see these sorts of aerials of MK, so assumed that permission was not easy to get.

Looking at the routing in it is clear that they (FAA) want you to stay clear of the area. However there are always tricks to get them to do what you (the pilot) want. ;) But @MisterPenguin is right, you need a IFR flight plan and some creative (sly) navigation and you can get there. I am guessing that Orlando Center (FAA) wants to keep you away from the TFR as much as they can, but it is doable.

I don't think the FAA cares except to punish those that don't follow the rules on the book. And the rules regarding Disney NFZs were inserted into a post-9/11 security bill not at the request of the FAA. I'm sure the FAA isn't hostile to requests to enter this space since they know this is more politically motivated than a real issue of security.

That is also very true. Not being a local and reading into the way the charts are laid out is where I got the impression that the routes are designed to keep you at bay. But you are right, this was forced on the FAA. That is why I find it hard to understand why it (TFR) could have changed. It would need an act of congress to change it. (But the FAA 5 year reauthorization just took place so who knows in the 1200 page document there could have been something that I did not hear about, because I sure did not read it all lol)

None the less I am thrilled that Bioreconstruct‬ is flying this often and sharing these wonderful photos.
