I have to be honest, the only thing about Tron that I am excited for is the new E ticket fastest coaster at MK that rides like a bike, which is also uniaue. And it looks really cool to me. Other than that, the theme is not intriguing to me. No animatronics or cool sets, just... lights. Meh.

The canopy is also quite cool. And the fact that after 7 years something is finally going to draw guests away from the Mine Train.

Agreed. I’m very excited to try out this new ride system, but it’s one of the blandest new attractions in years.

Yep the canopy is included in why I think it looks so cool and futuristic. But the actual ride experience feels like it is going to be the fastest, yet blandest of the Magic Kingdom coasters. Imo.

Fast it is indeed. At 60 mph, it will be by far the fastest ride in MK. But where does the "bland" come from? The duration? Ok yes it is just 2 minutes and I would like the duration to be the same as Space Mountain but I suspect that it really feels much more when you ride it (I've never experienced it myself) because of how amazing it looks. Anyway I really thing that it's a solid and much-needed addition to MK's attraction lineup and also serves as a purpose to finally re-imagine Tomorrowland to what it should be but it isn't.

I think it's bland because the theme is something that doesn't interest me, not its duration. Also it looks cool but I don't think it will really immerse me. But that's just me (and other that share my opinion). I think it is a solid addition that I will enjoy just not as much as the other coasters at MK.

Fair enough. There are mixed opinions for everything nowadays 😁

Sorry but a Haunted Mansion overlay is not going to justify the cost in terms of bringing new guests to the property the way it would in Anaheim. It may pull guests from other areas of the resort but it's just not the kind of thing someone is going to plan a trip around. They know this. They've done much research.

The other thing which is a factor and part of their "official" line as to why they don't do these things: Your average guest saves up 3+ years for a trip to Walt Disney World. Many come only once or twice in their lifetime. When they come, Disney believes, they want to see The Haunted Mansion or Space Mountain, as intended. They'd be disappointed to see cheap holiday overlays from something they'd waited, essentially, their whole lives to see. This also doesn't account for, as others have said, the extended downtime for adding such overlays.

I disagree. I think you're underestimating the appeal because WDW has spent two decades telling you what you just told me.

I think they do see the appeal in short-term quick gains. I doubt we ever see Haunted Mansion overlay though. I do agree it's a hard sell converting it every year. But they have no problem with Jungle Cruise. They did the Country Bears. If the park had about double of what they had to do, Haunted Mansion could easily go down. They just don't want to do it. And yes I'm sure it's seen as a waste of money to them, and it probably is, not disputing that. But the lines they give are crap, they're too cheap to do seasonal overlays it isn't that guests don't want them. There's always going to be a swath of first timers who whine, but who cares?

Making Mine Train more manageable is honestly what I'm most excited about Tron
Will it though? Because families with medium sized children can ride Mine Train. I’m not sure what the height restrictions are for TRON, but it doesn’t appear to be as accommodating as Mine Train or Space.

One minute from launch to brakes. Give or take conditions.

I can't disagree with that. But even that 1 minute is actually pretty good.

The height requirement for Tron is currently 48 inches. It should at least help draw some of the 10 and older crowd away from the Mine Train.
