Good morning!

Today is our first full day in Kyoto. The itinerary here says that we will first visit the Kinkakuji temple of the gold pavilion. Then we will proceed to the Nishiki market. We will be participating in a tea ceremony. After lunch, we will head to Sanjusajendo Temple. Finally, we will do a walking tour of the Gion, Kyoto's most famous geisha district.

Good morning!

Today is officially the last full day of our tour, and it is a free day for us to explore Kyoto. We plan on heading to the Arashiyama bamboo forest, so that should occupy most of the day.

Tomorrow is the end of the tour, but since we added two extra days here, we won't be checking out of the hotel. We have a loose plan on going to the Imperial Palace grounds, but nothing has been set in stone yet.

Good morning!

This is the last day of the tour. Many members of the tour group are leaving this morning, including our 3 friends from the Chicago area who have been away from home for a month. They started their trip in HK, went to Shanghai, and ended it with us here in Japan. We will be staying for another couple of days as there are more things for us to see. This would be the longest time we have been away from home.

Today, we plan on visiting the Kyoto Imperial Palace, at least for the morning. No plans on the afternoon/evening as we tend to make it up as we go along, depending on how tired we are.
