My Swedish bakery. Could have bought the whole store. This was basically schoolbread but way better. The whole thing was custard inside unlike Disney were there is a small spoonful. Every bite, I got custard on my nose.

My pizza. It came with fungus but I asked if they could replace it with eggplant and they said they could. Prosciutto and kalamata olives.

Kensington Gardens during the funeral. Never knew before that Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park was basically one park but two halves.

Hey all! I have been in lurking mode for quite awhile. I'm happy to read everyone's updates, but I've only had time to visit wdwmagic on the weekends.
We did take a trip from August 7-17, but I don't have the energy to do a trip report. I would like to share a picture from the August 16th very crowded MNSSHP with people who I know will appreciate our "costumes".

A's Fastpass actually worked for us on Jungle Cruise which was an unexpected bonus. My Pirates Fastpass was a fail. E was disappointed that not a lot of CMs knew what his shirt was about. They're much too young I suppose.

Super cute (and comfortable) costume idea!
Is the party back to it's old crazy crowded levels?

Thanks! We got a lot of compliments on our costumes.
It was super crowded. I chose Tuesday instead of Friday because I mistakenly thought it wouldn't be sold out, but it was. Probably because it was one of the least expensive dates.
With your party being sold out was there long waits for rides? Just curious since we are planning on attending a Christmas party in December. It isn't sold out but I've heard rides are walk ons and I've heard lines were much longer than they expected.

The longest we waited was for Pirates. I think it was around 40 minutes. We weren't terribly interested in character meet and greets, but we did wait 30 minutes for Jafar as he is E's favorite. Had I known it was going to be so crowded, I would have done more advanced planning. Going in without a solid plan probably cost us a lot of time.

Hey @Zipadeelady, guess where my Seth wants to move when his NY lease runs out in the spring?
Yep, Orlando! He and a friend are Disney fans and they both can work anywhere with their current jobs.

This conversation started when I asked how it's going in NY and he said "there's nothing to do there." Say what?!
He then clarified that there's nothing to do if you don't have money.
Ahh, no kidding kid.

I'm going to have to put a limit on the number north-south, east-west moves I'm willing to help him with!
I'll be calling you for advice if this really happens.

Yay @MickeyCB !! Cady loves the sunshine and all the different things to do. Right now she says that she'll be there a few years then decide if she wants to stay. She has been there a few months and still hasn't connected with any new friends so that makes a mom worry a bit. Her school is set up like a campus so she doesn't get to see a lot of other teachers. She looked into theatre groups but so far they are just for kids. She talked about joining community choir groups but I haven't heard if that has went anywhere.

How fun will it be to have Seth in Orlando!! I'm sure him and his friend will love it. We got a lot of good advise from @cgersic and a friend of hers. Hopefully Seth's move isn't as chaotic. Let me know if you have any questions!!

I did learn that if you are on a bank account with Seth you can get a Florida Resident Annual pass ;)

Awesome, hopefully @cgersic won't mind if we need some advice too!

That is a really interesting tidbit on the Florida AP!
I am actually still on his student/soon to be adult bank account since he just graduated a few months ago.
Mom he says, when are you going to quit stalking my bank account? Ummm, when I'm not afraid you're going to end up sleeping on the streets!
He is historically an awful money manager. Never heard the term saving for a rainy day.
He told me in college he was going to have a 6 figure job. My reply was, you're going to be the only person I know earning 6 figures and living on the street because you don't have any clue how to save money!
I've been pleasantly surprised that he has actually been doing fairly well in NY. I think I scared the bejesus out of him.

I hope your daughter starts to find some friends. I'm sure it's a little lonely.
Don't know what is the thing/place these days, but I met my husband at our local YMCA. I was so bored when I came home from college I went there to apply for a part time job coaching gymnastics and signed up for an exercise class. He was the director there at the time!
39 years of wedded bliss later! 🤣

What a great story about meeting Gary! I'm not sure what younger kids do now to meet people. She'll figure it out, hopefully sooner than later. I just hate to think of my girl lonely. She is an introvert and likes her quiet time so that makes me feel a little better knowing she likes being by herself just a little bit.

The husband and I are going down in two weeks for a short visit. We won't be going to any Disney parks though. He's not a big fan, more like once every 8 years kind of a fan. Not sure what is wrong with him.

I'm still on my two youngest accounts but I'm sure that will change here shortly. I've been pleasantly surprised by their level of responsibility. We must have done something right if our kids are doing okay. I'm sure it did have a bit to do with us scaring them. I've told them enough horror stories to keep them on the right track
