I agree but the rumblings have begun. I have already had this talk with a couple people who said they are not happy bay is back on for 2. Like you Im not a huge Bay backer but when he wasnt going to do it visions of the 3rd batman and a new director that I wont say the name (for fear of being stoned :lookaroun ) flashed before me. I know what Im getting from Bay and I was nervous someone else would screw it up.

OMG Can you imagine if they got "He who not be mentioned in this thread" to do the second one!!!!

We'd have Deceptinipples!!!

I was at Target yesterday and the new Jazz toy has him painted like the classic Generation 1 Jazz. Looking at the back of it, it says that Ratchet and Bumblebee eventually rebuilt Jazz and Jazz decided the silver paint job got dirty and scratched too easily. He went with the "new' paint because it looked much better and he would get admiring glances from all the humans when he drove past. It was pretty funny, but might be interesting if they are setting that up as something that could happen between the first and second movies or at the start of the second movie. Maybe they can make him sound less like a Gangsta Thug and more like the original Jazz.

I couldn't stand that about Jazz...why was he a "Gangsta?"

Ratchet should do the rebuilding but Bumblebee and Sam choose his new "look." Sam knows what looks cool on Earth...and Bumblebee is his right hand man :)

I'm hoping that Wheeljack makes it into this one.

I found the actual quote from the package:

"During the long process of being rebuilt by AUTOBOT RATCHET, there was a lot of time to think. AUTOBOT JAZZ digs his Earth vehicle form, but the silver paint job had always left something to be desired. It got scratched too easily, for one thing, and dust stuck to it like cyberflies on old oil. Also, it wasn't nearly eye-catching enough. Just because he's supposed to be in disguise doesn't mean he can't be noticed. With help from BUMBLEBEE and AUTOBOT RATCHET, he picked this color scheme as the one most likely to get him appreciative looks from all the humans he passes on the freeway."

I think there is a good chance we see jazz again. Most fans didnt like the fact that he was killed (at least the ones I know) So bringing him back wouldnt be all that hard to do and it would make sense. I know Bay said they killed him because they couldnt kill Prime or bumblebee and he was the 3rd most important autobot and they wanted to do it for the drama. The problem was he was a fan favorite and wasnt developed enough in my opinion for the death to really mean anything. So it would be a good idea to bring him back as it would make the fans happy.

So what/whos version of the DVD are you going to get tomorrow? I am going to get the walmart SE DVD just because of the prequal with Peter cullen narrating. I think bestbuy, target and a couple others have their own SE.

WDWFREAK53 did you see the personal message from optimus prime on the transformersmovie.com? Its awesome you answer some questions and it will call whoever you want and Prime talkes to them.

The Target version rocks....Love the transforming case! It's HUGE! Of course you also need to go to Best Buy to get the great Megatron and Ratchet repaints (only at Best Buy.)

And while you're there, pick up Planet Terror (also out today) and Death Proof in great steelbook packages! (only at Best Buy! plus they come with an extra disc! Support Grindhouse!)

:sohappy:

I got the WalMart version with the Prequel and then went to Best Buy and got the Ratchet toy (Best Buy's version is a gift...and I kept the Ratchet ;) )

I wasn't a fan of the Megatron...he looked pretty cheesy with the crappy looking fake ice all over him.

Did you like the prequel? I was a bit dissapointed it was only still and not annimated and it says it was narated by Cullen but it was mostly bumblebee. The story was good and it cleared a few things up so Im glad I bought it.

They didnt fix the brawl/devestator thing so I guess they will have to do some creative stuff if they want to put the constructicons in to the 2nd. I will say seeing it a 2nd time, that it was better than the first time. I picked up on a few things I didnt notice at the movie theater.

I actually haven't watched the prequel yet...but now I'm REALLY disappointed. I think I would've prefered a cartoony version of the movie-bots rather than still. How long is it? (THE MOVIE!)

I didn't think they were going to change the Brawl/Devastator thing...but I find it funny that on the "Optimus Prime Phone Call" thing on the site...Brawl and Devastator are both options.

I had Optimus Prime call my son. It was really funny with the "Be careful of your so-called classmate, Anthony. We think he has joined the other side and goes by the Transformer name of Starscream." As soon as my son heard that, he said "Yeah, because he's really annoying."
