Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

i'm quite curious about the frozen mountain, a dark ride seems likely (would be perfect for little kids who couldnt stop watching the frozen movie) but that would feel like a waste of space for the top half of the mountain, perhaps 2 rides in that mountain? or a splash mountain styled frozen ride?

Frontierland+Adventureland don't draw enough people in there; while Fantasyland and Discoveryland have most of the traffic.
Unbelievable once BTMR, Indy, POTC, and PM are truly amazing rides.
They want Splash Mountain (or a layout clone with another theme),
Frozen Slippery Mountain ;-)
everything else is a bit rubbish (especially in terms of seating and theming).
Yes, you feel like you are at a mall's food court

Even if the new ride is "just" Frozen forever after, designing a new ride layout etc will still make it bigger/unique to what Epcot has. Seems odd to compare a quick re-theme to a brand new ride with the same/similar show scenes.

- Hollywood Boulevard would still be in the plans (main avenue up to the lake- but not themed in concept art as this is very high level)

Great to have you on board here, you bring really interesting news from these french forums. This particular bit I am very happy to read about. I hope they realize how important a properly themed connection from the entrance plaza to the lake area is to make the new layout truly convincing.

No worries! See post above for the E-ticket @ DLP speculations! I think the new addition won't be in Discoveryland... Wouldn't make much sense.

Regarding Cars, and the changes to the front of the park; you have a point. I think long term, Cars will be gone, but the fact that it's blurry in the concept art is just a coincidence. Regarding the entrance, it might indeed stay 100% the same. So far we don't have any solid information on that, just speculation.

I think it would make sense for them to remove the cars attraction if they are indeed adding the shown A.s.s. ride from DHS; isn't it the exact same ride system?

This is why I pointed out especially, and also on the french forums. It's really ALMOST the same system. Though Dumbo and Orbitron are also pretty much the same ride + both in the same park and it never shocked anyone.

Thanks for the kind words! I think they do yes, it would be extremely surprising+disappointing (and that's also not what the sources indicated) if Hollywood Boulevard would just be unthemed as we currently see it in the art.

The other ride was an LPS though, not a boat ride as suggested.
For DisneySea? Do you actually have a source for this, as I honestly can't find this anywhere.

Anyway, the Frozen dark-ride is right at the moment being discussed and I'm hearing multiple things. I've heard:
"Frozen would, as it looks like, have a ride system similar to PotC @ Shanghai" (that would be incredible tbh)
"Frozen will be like FEA but with some extras."
"...."

I think in the end: no one in the community knows for sure at the moment. We've heard noises left and right but we just don't know yet. I will of course update if I get more info.

Honestly even if it's not used for Frozen this ride system needs to expand to all the other Resorts, it's just mind-blowing. Would be really interesting to see it used for different themes too.

Part of me hopes that if the mountain for Frozen is really going to be that tall as you mentioned previously that they actually use it in some way, like a Matterhorn style coaster or something.

As @fradz showed in his detailled post, the mountain is the place for the E-ticket ride, while the ice castle will be for meet and greets. The ice castle is a great idea: Anna and Elsa were extremely popular in DLP when they used to do meet and greets. Having a new 'princess pavilion' in the studios will work great to draw in people and make the studio a full day park.

DLP had (has?) meet and greet with Anna & Else. DLP also has the Frozen sing a long. Having Frozen in both parks won't work well, I guess, so they'll have to cancel the sing a long, give the theatre in DLP a new show and shift the focus to Frozen land in Studios.
Placing Frozen entirely into the Studios and out of DLP can make the Studios more popular.
But will just a copy of FEA be enough to be the big centrepiece of Frozen land, and draw in all the people?

I think they will have a big E-ticket planned for Frozen land, not just FEA.
Based on the design, the drawings, the statements, they are hoping to make a new central place of the studios: the lake. (imho)
I doubt how many people wil go to that area of the park when there's only a (small) copy of the WDW SW:GE's version combined with FEA and a meet & greet.

The lake area need big rides to compete against the other sections: Marvel land isn't even near the new lake (so there aren't even three lands surrounding the lake).
Marvel land will get the big E-ticket from Hong Kong (massive hit) and the RnR rethemed, so two big rides already. Toy Story land will get another ride, giving the area 4 rides.
Directly next to Toy Story land: Ratatouille . That might be the biggest hit in studio's at the moment, it's even being copied to Epcot.
There's still the ToT and Crush Coaster as big rides.

If they don't put enough effort in SW:GE and Frozen land, it will become a 2 billion dead end of the park.
